Student Safety ~From the Corral   Damonte Ranch High School is committed to school safety.  If your student hears about a possible threat or impending school incident, please have them immediately report it to school administration to ensure school staff is aware of it.  Please tell your student to refrain from posting the information on social media, as this creates rumors and panic.  Remember, your student’s responsible actions can help keep students safe and they can remain anonymous.    The WCSD provides video surveillance on school campus’ as well as on each school bus to help keep students safe.          Schools are required to practice a monthly emergency drill.  The best way for students to help during an emergency is to be where they are expected to be and follow the emergency procedures they practice.  Monthly, DRHS practices one of the following drills:   ·         Fire Evacuation Drills teach students how to appropriately evacuate the building and where to report to. ·         A Code Yellow, securing perimeter doors, is utilized to prevent the occurrence of a major incident when conditions indicate a higher than normal threat level is present NEAR campus. ·         A Code Red lockdown is utilized when an actual crisis situation or impending threat has occurred on school campus (or across the street/near campus). ·         A Code Blue is utilized for a medical emergency.  A trained Code Blue team responds to medical emergencies. Students have already practiced a fire drill, earthquake drill, code red drill and a code blue drill this school year.  Safety is always our primary concern!

Attention future juniors and seniors:

Do you want to share your expertise and receive service hours at the same time?  Are there things you know now that you wish someone would have told you as a freshman?  Providing support for 9^th grade students during their transition from middle school to high school is a huge need here at Damonte. Want to help next year?  Sign up to be a Freshman Seminar Mentor with Ms. Wayman in room 102, help improve school culture, and make a difference in the life of another student!

 

If you are a student who is interested in becoming an office aide for the Fall Semester, and you have good grades and attendance, please see Mrs. Kenyon in the office to apply. 

 

All Students taking AP music theory in the fall, please see Ms Tibben for your summer assignment.
