BOYS OPEN GYM THIS WEEK IS MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY from 6:15 until 8:15 pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 7 until 8:30 pm. WE HAVE OUR ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE COMING THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 15-19TH. EVERY DAY that week students from NHS and Leadership will be coming into your freshman seminar/IC classes to collect food you and your students bring. The IC/freshman seminar class who collects THE MOST food that week will earn a pizza or ice cream party (your choice)!!! All food needs to be non-perishable. Let's set a new school record and collect TONS of food for our community. OUR FIRST BLOOD DRIVE OF THE YEAR IS ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH. Get information to sign up in the counselor hallway every day at lunch starting Monday, November 8th or go to room 226. You must be 16 or older to donate. You can also sign up online at donors.vitalant.org and use blood drive code DRHS. Be a hero and donate blood. It's a lifechanging experience. COME TALK TO AARON WEST FROM NBA- Nevada Builders Association if College isn't something you want to do post High School. He will be a great resource for you to get into a Trades Career! Marco was nominated by Ms. Tibben for his work in his AP Music Theory class. Here is what Ms. Tibben said about Marco: Marco is an outstanding music theory student – he comes to class every day with all his homework completed, and sometimes even does more than assigned. If there is a topic that is new to him, he digs in to learn it and apply it. He is willing to help others that may be struggling and has a really positive attitude, which rubs off on the whole class! Congratulations, Marco, for your award as the October AP Student of the Month! Monday (11/8), and Tuesday (11/9) ARE YOU PLANNING ON TAKING A TMCC COURSE FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER? Don’t wait enrollment is now open!! Do you still need to apply for admission? Do you meet the pre-requisites for enrollment? TMCC is hoping to complete all Jump Start enrollment before you leave for Winter Break. Need help with TMCC steps for enrollment? Need course codes for enrollment? See your counselor or Mr. Polson in room 210. The TMCC Jump start team will also be here every Tuesday at lunch in the Career Center starting next week on November 9th until Winter Break. WINTER SPORTS BEGIN NOVEMBER 13, 2021 Boys and Girls Basketball, Wrestling and Boys and Girls Ski. Student Athletes who want to participate in Winter Sports must Register Online at www.registermyathlete.com. This program only works with Firefox or Google Chrome.
