GLO GLO GLO!

GLO is Friday, December eleventh from eight to eleven. Tickets will be sold at lunch December seventh through the eleventh for $12 in the counselor's hallway. At the door they will be $15. The dance is blacklight so make sure to wear neon and white clothing so you can GLOW at GLO!

 

Damonte! Sign up for the NHS volleyball tournament this week at lunch!  The tournament will be, November 30 thru December 4.  Create a team of 6 to 7 people or sign up as individuals.  Teachers, students, Counselors and any member of the Damonte herd are welcome to participate!!  The cost is $20 per team or $5 per individual.  All money collected will go towards our yearly holiday gifts for Children Transition here at Damonte Ranch.  Do not miss it!!

 

The Black Student Union will begin collecting clothes for Big Brothers, Big Sisters for our holiday clothing drive.   Bring your good condition clean clothes starting Monday, November 23.  The clothing drive will go through December 7th so make sure you clean out that closet!

 

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Essay Contest – “Pursuing the Dream in 2016”. High School scholarship award is $400 Deadline is January 4, 2016. Stop by Career Center for further details.

Kobe Kitson - first place speech, second place congress
Jennifer Whitbeck - first place congress
Tara Reynolds - first place congress
Dalia Marin - fourth place congress
Kaylee Edwards - fourth place congress
Jade Whitbeck - made it to finals in both speech and debate
Shyanne Vasquez - fifth place speaker points in debate

 

This was a very successful tournament with the team bringing home multiple trophies. If you are interested in joining Speech and Debate, please stop by the Career Center on Thursdays at 2:40.

Attention Damonte!  If you have signed up for the Bowling Club – there is a mandatory membership meeting on Monday, November 16 at 11:30 in Room 107 (Mr. Magrum’s room).  Practice dates and times, fees, the season schedule and more will be discussed. 

 

Damonte Ranch Lacrosse Club will be having an informational meeting on Monday, November 16th from 6-8pm in the DRHS library. Everyone is welcome, as it is a great chance to come learn about Damonte Ranch Lacrosse, meet the coaches, board members, parents, and returning players. We hope to see everyone there! Go Mustangs!

Today is An “a” DAY

 

Ready… Set… Blink! Damonte’s first Blink tournament of the year starts Monday, November the 16th through Friday, November 20th. The card game Blink is easy to learn, so don’t miss out on being the first of twelve each day to sign up! Signups will be in the counselor’s hall during lunch each day of the tournament. Prizes will be given out daily. On Friday the grand tournament will be held between all the daily champions to determine the final Blink champion. The ultimate Blink champion will win the Grand prize. Who will be our Champion? Let’s find out!  (11/13)

 

CALLING ALL JUNIORS!  The class of 2017 will have a class meeting today at lunch in the theatre! Don't dilly dally, we've got some things to tell ya!  Have no idea when the basketball tryouts are or when GLO is?  Come on down, we'll give you guys the info!  Not only that, we'll play a rad game of BINGO!  Winner will receive a box of donuts!  We hope to see you there!
