TODAY IS A “B” DAY

 

Want a comfortable place to spend your lunch?  Come to Fanigame!  We do all things from talking about your favorite TV show to Cosplay.  We’ll be having lots of pizza to welcome everyone to the club during our first meeting next Friday.  Come share your common interests with our friendly group!  We’ll go to events, do fun activities, and we’ll always try to mix things up.  Sound interesting?  Join us in Ms. Hellen’s room, 116 at lunch across the cooking room next Friday 8/25!

Come share the love of language and culture while eating lunch with International Club.  Meetings are held on Tuesdays at lunch in Madame Curtis's room: Module 8-by the tennis courts! We look forward to sharing lots of different cultures and languages this year!

Any “green minded” students interested in saving mother earth, breathing fresh air, moving toward alternative energy sources, and continuing to drink clean water---please join the ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB which meets every Wednesday in Mr. Kaplan’s room 206 at lunch.

Tickets will be pre- sold for $12 starting on Monday August 14th ending on Friday August 18th during lunch. Enter from the front of the school and all guest passes are due on Wednesday August 16th to the corral. Dress casual and come out and have a good time as we welcome the new year!  Air: August 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16, 17th

There are moving fast on our construction projects. Please avoid the construction areas and admire from a distance.

     Welcome back to school!  It is imperative that students follow the Washoe County School District (WSCD) dress code while on campus.  The WCSD dress code policy may be found in the student planner, in the display in front of Student Services, and on our DRHS website. 

     So be sure shorts and dresses are at least mid-length, that tops cover the top of the shoulders as well as the torso, and keep those hats and hoodies off while on campus.

     If you have any questions please feel free to contact Student Services.

     The staff at Damonte Ranch is committed to working with you to ensure all students have a successful fall semester, and we can do so by limiting dress code violation distractions.

Stop by the Corral to obtain a parking pass permit application, permits are $5 each and that must be paid to the bookkeeper. Navy JROTC is looking for motivated students who like a challenge and opportunity for hands on leadership.  Talk to your counselor or NJROTC instructors to ask if you can join the Mustang Battalion.

Do you like helping others?  Are you good at math?  Do you have an open period or an elective that you don’t want?  The math department is looking for Math Peer Tutors for all periods except for period 3.  We especially need peer tutors who got an A or B in Geometry and Algebra 2, and we also need peer tutors during IC.  Peer tutors get a full elective credit, it looks great on a college transcript, and you get the chance to really help other students.  Please see Mrs. Ault in room 122 if you are interested.  (Please run on Wed, Thurs, and Fri of this week?)

Today at 2:40 in the theatre, come learn about auditions for one of the fall plays: a creative stage adaptation of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and a new production called Silent Sky, a script based on the true story and science of early 20th century female “computers” at Harvard Observatory. See the bulletin board outside the theatre for more information about both shows and an audition form!

Students who are registered or are interested in Taking AP Spanish Language and Culture have to attend to a mandatory meeting Monday June 5 in Ms. DPR’s room 230 during lunch time. It will be a brief, but very important meeting.

 

Boys Basketball open gym will be Thursday and Friday from 3-5 pm in the Main Gym.  Thank you!

 

Dance Team tryouts are coming!!  This Friday, June 2, 3:30-5:30 and Monday, June 5, 3:30-5:30.  Please see Mrs. Daniels for athletic clearance information.  Wear comfortable clothes and see you on Friday!  Any questions, see Coach Roybal.  (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Mon)

     

We are very excited to notify you that Yearbooks have arrived!  We will be passing out purchased books this week. If you haven’t yet purchased a yearbook be sure to do so before June 2^nd to make sure you get one before they sell out and prices increase.
