PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

Today is a “B” DaY

Attention students: Dance Team Tryouts are coming!!!  Dance Team is fun way to represent your school and perform at the same time. The tryout day Friday, June 13 (last day of school), 12:30-3 pm in the dance studio. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and be ready to dance.  You must fill out an athletic clearance packet available in the office.  If you have any questions please see Coach Bauman.  See you next Friday, Dancers!!

The Literary Club, Hoof Notes, would like to thank all the students who submitted writing and to congratulate our top prize winners in each category.  Top prize winners are recipients of $100.00 gift cards, second place winners will receive a $75.00 gift card, third place will receive a $50.00 gift card.  In the category of poetry, Ryan Short is the first place winner, Estrella Bunting is the 2nd place winner and Jaise Blackwell is the third place winner.  In the category of nonfiction, Macyn Elquist is the first place winner, Mercedes Anderson is the 2nd place winner and third place goes to Rosie Behesti.   In the short story category the first place winner is Laura Ciolna, second place goes to Taylor Agulto, and third place goes to Ashley Maples.  In the category of art, first place goes to Aspen Cleaveland, second place goes to Erin Moyer and third place goes to Molly Willoughby.  All the prize winners may pick up their gift cards on Friday during lunch in Ms. Servilican’s room.
Are you in a suit and tie, or are you wearing your school’s favorite jersey? We hope it’s one or the other, because it’s career and college Wednesday.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane--it’s a senior! Nothing says super like a cape and tights, so gear up and show your off your super hero side tomorrow.
Friday is your last chance to break out the blue and green. Be sure to wear your spirit gear and show up to the assembly Friday afternoon.
There will be a BSU meeting during lunch in Room 128 on Friday, June 6.

There will be a cross country meeting this Friday during lunch in room 111. All students interested in running next fall are encouraged to attend. All ability levels welcome, and we would be more than happy to have you.

Attention:  All students who are taking or are interested in taking AP Psychology for next year, please attend the meeting at lunch on Wednesday, June 4th.  We will be in room 218.  You will receive a short summer assignment and sign in.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS!
There is a mandatory senior class meeting Wednesday, June 4, at 11:00 AM in the theater.  At this meeting CAPS AND GOWNS, as well as other IMPORTANT GRADUATION INFORMATION, will be distributed!
Please make sure you have all your fees and fines paid by June 4th.  Lunch will be provided! 

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BEING AN OFFICE AIDE?  The Office is seeking for responsible students, with no discipline issues, for the Fall Semester.  Please see Mrs. Kenyon in the Main Office.

Damonte! don't miss your chance in saying your last goodbye to this year’s seniors! There will be a table a lunch in the counselor’s hall, where you will be able to fill out a note for your favorite senior for free and it will be delivered to them with a Hershey's Kiss. Don't hold back on your last goodbye.

If you plan to be in the yearbook class next year, you must attend a mandatory meeting with the yearbook adviser this Friday at lunch in room 108.  Bring your lunch and a smile.

ATTENTION STUDENTSARE YOU INTERESTED IN PLAYING A SPORT?  In the Fall we offer Boys/Girls Tennis, Boys/Girls Soccer, Boys/Girls Cross Country, Dance, Football, Girls Golf & Volleyball.  If interested Athletic Packets can be picked up in the Main Office.   ALL SPORTS CLEARANCE NIGHTS is JUNE 3RD & 4TH FROM 5:00 PM TO 6:30 PM IN THE MAIN OFFICE. 

Attention Seniors who were awarded DRHS scholarships:  You must turn in your “Thank you notes” and verification of where you are going to be attending school in the fall or summer to Ms. Jackson or Mrs. Aikin before graduation to receive your scholarships.

If you haven’t purchased your yearbook yet, you better hurry.  Sales have been good and there are only about a hundred copies left for sale.

Damonte Ranch High School will be offering Health and Computer Lit this summer.  If you are interested in getting one of those out of the way, please sign up right away. The classes will run for only three weeks, please see your counselor for dates and times. Space is limited, so sign up with the bookkeeper as soon as possible. The cost is $100.

IF YOU HAVE LOST ANY ITEMS at school, please stop by the Corral and look in the Lost and Found.  All Lost and Found items will be donated to charity on June 13.

ATTENTION SENIORS- Please stop by the Career Center to pick up your English Portfolios before finals.

Open gym for girls basketball is Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:30.  If you have any questions please see Coach Schmidt in room 219.

Attention all freshman, sophomores and juniors!  Open gym for volleyball is Tuesday and Thursday from now until June 5th.  Everyone who is interested in next year’s volleyball season is welcome to join us!  Volleyball has several summer activities going on this year, come find out all about it.  See Ms. Wallace in the bookkeeping office with any questions.

Driver Education classes will be offered at Damonte during the summer, June 17-20 and July 21-24. This 30-hour class fulfills the classroom requirement for a driver's license in Nevada if you are under 18. The cost is $94. Please call 829-9010 for more information and to register.

Kitchen is hiring 4-5 student workers. $7.25 hour M-F 1-2 hours a day. Plus free breakfast and Lunch when either or both are worked.  See Manager during breakfast 7:30-7:55
