PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

Today is a “b” DAY

Open Gym for Girls Basketball will be on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning April 13th from 6:00 to 8:00.  Any questions please see Coach Schmidt in room 231.

Amigos!  5 de Mayo is coming!!!  Hispanic Club is preparing exciting activities for the whole school. As part of the traditional lunch celebration, the club is going to host the World Cultures’ Event.  If you would like to participate, contact Mrs. Long (Room 217), Mrs. Gutierrez (Room 202), or Mrs. Chavez (Room 234). You can get a table and represent the country of your choice.  Artifacts, pictures, food (you can offer samples or sell food) are just a few of the possibilities.  All the DRHS clubs are welcome to join us!  Let’s have fun at 5 de Mayo!

Attention students!  What is up with the apathy this year?  Last year by this time, Hoof Notes literary magazine had a ton of entries.  This year, we are afraid we may not have a publication if the student writers, artists, dramatists, and creators do not step up and submit.  We thank those of you who have already submitted, but we need many more submissions to publish our magazine.  Pick up a submission sheet in any English classroom, the library, or art hallway.  Fill it out, attach it to your submission and drop it in the envelope.  Two weeks after spring break we will stop taking submissions so get your story, illustration, dramatic interpretation in today.  Remember, this year, we are also looking for submissions written in foreign languages.  See Ms. Servilican in room 214 for more information!  C’mon Damonte, we know you can do this!

Are you interested in participating in your graduation ceremony?  Stop by the Career Center to sign up to audition for either a speech or musical performance.  Seniors only please.
