PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS A “B” DAY

The DRHS National Honors Society thanks everyone who participated in the ping pong tournament last week and came out to watch the games. Congratulations to Sam Banghart, the winner of the singles bracket, and Dante and Zeke Brooke, the doubles champions.  Make sure you keep an eye out for the tournaments next year to show off your skills, Damonte!

Hola amigos: ScrubaDub! A great car wash is coming up! Hispanic Club will be holding a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, April 23th from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm on South Virginia Street across from Walmart.  Splash your donations in our bucket and get a quality and shiny service.  Thank you Mustangs for your support!

Great and important news!!  If you have a library fine for an overdue book, this is for you.  For the rest of the month of April you can just pay half of the fines and we’ll call it good.  Swing by the library at your earliest opportunity and save some money.  (Run through 4/29)

Wanted:  Reliable, motivated students needed to answer phones, make deliveries and perform interesting office duties in a friendly, fast-paced work environment.  This could be the job for you!  Please see Mrs. Kenyon in the office if you would like to apply to become an office aide for next year.

Good morning!  The Washoe County School Police Department is NOW accepting applications for next year’s Police Explorers Program.  This class is offered on Monday evenings at 6 PM.  At the end of each semester, students who have successfully completed the requirements will earn half of a credit through the supplemental credit office.  The School Police Explorer Program is combined with the Reno Police Explorers Program.   A few topics this program covers include: The History of Law Enforcement, radio traffic, case law, building searches, traffic stops, drug laws and ride along opportunities.

Posters have been hung up in all the High Schools.  There is a barcode located on the lower right corner that will direct students to an online application.  Informational handouts are also available in the Corral.  There are eligibility for enrollment requirements along a commitment to complete 35 hours of community service per semester.  Students are given the opportunity to work with other local agencies throughout the semester to help complete their community service hours.   Have a Great Day Damonte!  (Run through 4/22)
