PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS A “B” DAY

Attention students:  There will be a meeting for those wanting to play basketball on Thursday, Aug 17th after school at 2:30 pm.  We will meet in the hallway outside the main gym.

We have a lot going on in the theatre this week!  Today after school is the final pre-audition workshop for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.  Thursday night at 6:30 is when you can come audition for Silent Sky, a play about a brilliant scientist breaking the gender barrier in the early 1900’s.  Auditions for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow are Friday after school.  For audition forms and more information about both productions, come check out the bulletin board outside the theatre door!  Wednesday

Are you good in math?  Do you have time outside of school to help other students?  DRHS is looking for paid math peer tutors.  Students who are interested in being a paid math peer tutor outside of school hours at a rate of $10 per hour should see Mrs. Ault in room 122 in order to sign up and see if you qualify for this position.  ( Run 8/16-8/18)

** Next 2 together **

1-What is the Coffee Shop? It’s the coolest, hippest place on campus every Thursday at lunch in room 108.  We talk about contemporary issues and share poetry and music.  It’s just cool. Optional attire, a black beret and turtleneck.  Don’t be square. See you there. Bring your brain. Bring a poem. Bring your soul. Bring your own coffee.   (8/15 & 8/16)

2-Thursday:  Today is the first meeting of the Coffee Shop at lunch in room 108.  Don’t miss out on intellectually stimulating conversations on contemporary issues and the arts.  Bring your lunch and join us.  (Thursday, 8/17)

**

Want a comfortable place to spend your lunch?  Come to Fanigame!  We do all things from talking about your favorite TV show to Cosplay.  We’ll be having lots of pizza to welcome everyone to the club during our first meeting next Friday.  Come share your common interests with our friendly group!  We’ll go to events, do fun activities, and we’ll always try to mix things up.  Sound interesting?  Join us in Ms. Hellen’s room, 116 at lunch across the cooking room next Friday 8/25!

Any “green minded” students interested in saving mother earth, breathing fresh air, moving toward alternative energy sources, and continuing to drink clean water---please join the ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB which meets every Wednesday in Mr. Kaplan’s room 206 at lunch.

On Friday, August 18th from 7 pm-10 pm there will be a dance. The theme is Rock the Block.  Come listen to music, enjoy hot dogs and play some fun block party games. Tickets will be pre- sold for $12 starting on Monday August 14th ending on Friday August 18th during lunch. Enter from the front of the school and all guest passes are due on Wednesday August 16th to the corral. Dress casual and come out and have a good time as we welcome the new year!  Air: August 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16, 17th

Good morning Damonte Ranch, if you plan on driving to school, you must have a current 2017-2018 DRHS parking pass on your vehicle. Stop by the Corral to obtain a parking pass permit application, permits are $5 each and that must be paid to the bookkeeper. Do not delay, get your 2017-2018 student parking permit today!   (Run until 8/16)

Navy JROTC is looking for motivated students who like a challenge and opportunity for hands on leadership.  Talk to your counselor or NJROTC instructors to ask if you can join the Mustang Battalion.
