PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

 

Congratulations to all the IC classes that participated in the pumpkin decorating contest put on by the National Honor Society.  The pumpkins looked amazing and after a very competitive judging by the students at Damonte Ranch High School we are proud to announce that winning pumpkin came from Mrs. Chavez’s Sophomore Seminar class for their amazing Day of the Dead themed pumpkin.  The National Honor Society would like to thank all classes for participating and we proudly share that all money generated from the competition will be donated to help the victims of the Northern California Wildfires, the charity chosen by the winning class.

Don't miss the fall play, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow!  Performances run this week only, at 7:00 pm Wednesday through Saturday.  We also have a performance right after school on Friday at 3:00.  Tickets are $8 for Students and Staff, $10 for Adults.  See you there!

Damonte Ranch Cross Country made some history this past weekend as Aric Turner turned in his best performance of the season as he became the 4A Regional Champion and helped the Damonte Ranch boys squad secure its first-ever berth in the state cross country meet.  On the Ladies side and just as impressive, the girls squad produced its first Regional Championship in school history!  The State Championships will be held Saturday morning at Shadow Mt. Park at Reed HS, come out and support both teams as this is history in the making!

 

Strike, Spare, 300.  If you missed out on sign ups, please come see Mrs. Louton in 128 or Mr. Fournier in M6 to sign up ASAP!  Official practice is Monday, November 6!  Let’s Bowl!

If you haven't donated to the Salvation Army food drive, THERE IS STILL TIME!  The barrels will be picked up November 7th, so please bring in your non-perishable foods ASAP and help out someone less fortunate!  It feels good to help.

Hola Amigos!  Come celebrate Day of the Dead this Friday, November 3rd!  Hispanic Club will be selling desserts such as Abuelita’s Hot Chocolate and sweet bread for $3.00 dollars, Tapioca or “Arroz con Leche” for $2.00 and Strawberries and Cream, “Fresas con Crema,” for $4.00 served in the main hallway!

DIPPIN' DOTS ARE COMING!!!  DIPPIN' DOTS ARE COMING!!!  Starting this Thursday, November 2nd, Dippin Dots' YoDots will be sold in the Student Store!  The flavors are Oreo Cookies and Cream, Cookie Dough, Cotton Candy and Redberry Sherbet made with Sour Patch Kids! Just $3.00 for a pouch full of frozen deliciousness!

Dress Code Reminder Regarding Hats:

Remember our dress code policy does not allow for hats, hoodies or head coverings to be worn inside the building during school hours.

Please review the dress code policies and make good choices! 

 

Josten’s will be here Thursday & Friday, November 2nd & 3rd accepting Class Ring and Graduation orders, by the Office, from lunch through the end of school.  Extra packets are located in the Office.

 

Are you good at math?  Do you like helping others?  The math department is looking for an Algebra 1 Peer tutor next semester for 3rd period.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Ault in room 122.

ATTENTION STUDENTS:  Winter Sports are coming!!!

Any students interested in playing a WINTER sport, Boys & Girls Basketball, Wrestling & Ski please go to the main office and see Mrs. Daniels for online instructions.  The registration deadline for Winter sports is November 3, 2017. 

 

The foods class will once Again be selling grandma Thiede's Mac & Cheese with a green side salad on Friday, November 17th. $3 donation.  Come early so you don't miss out on this popular dish.
