DAMONTE RANCH HIGH SCHOOL WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2021 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & MOMENT OF SILENCE TODAY IS AN “A” DAY DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WHERE YOU ARE GOING AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Damonte Ranch will be offering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test as a resource and career exploration tool to help guide you. The ASVAB is free and tests you in everything from math and science down to mechanics and electronics to help you find out what areas your strengths and talents lie. Once graded you will be given a breakdown of all your scores and an explanation of what they mean. The test is offered to all sophomores through seniors and can be taken multiple times. Come to Room 126 or Room 135 before school, during lunch or after school to sign up. The test will be given Thursday, October 21. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SEPTEMBER AP STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Violet Wilhelm, who has had amazing performance in her APUSH class. "Violet’s teacher, Mr. Alian, said the following about Violet: Violet Willhelm not only excels academically, but she frequently participates in class discussions with her inquisitive nature and thought-provoking responses. OUR GIRLS GOLF TEAM QUALIFIED FOR THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT We play Tuesday, October 12, and Wednesday, October 13, at Sierra Sage Golf Course. They will be $15 at the door. All guest pass applications are due to the corral by WEDNESDAY!!! IT'S HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK- Thursday, is Denim day- the one day denim on denim is OKAY Friday, is DRHS Mustang gear- show your spirit and wear blue and green! As always School dress code should be followed. FOR OUR HOMECOMING MAD MINUTE THIS YEAR we will raising money for "Sleep in Heavenly Peace"- a local charity that makes beds for children in our area who usually sleep on the floor. The money we raise will be used to buy new blankets, sheets, and pillows for them. So bring your spare change to the assembly and game and let's fill up those buckets!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR HOMECOMING ROYALTY NOMINEES!!!! You will be voting for your favorites THIS FRIDAY during lunch and the winners will be crowned at the homecoming assembly on Friday! THIS FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOL COME HELP YOUR CLASS DECORATE YOUR FLOAT for the football game! We'll be out in the north staff parking lot at 2:45 assembling the floats. Come join the fun!!! AUDITIONS!! PAC DRAMA IS HOLDING AUDITIONS for a one-act play that will perform at the Regional Theatre Festival! For more information, see the bulletin board outside the theatre door—auditions are October 14th!
