PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

Today is a “B” DaY

Students please remember that if you need to leave school early for an appointment, either by your parent picking you up or driving yourself, you need to bring in a note, from your parent/guardian, to the attendance office that morning, in order to receive your street pass.  You will then be allowed to leave class at the time designated on the street pass.  Please do not ask your parents to call in order for you to leave early, it must be in writing.  Parents can also sign out their students in the office.

Students, remember earbuds are to be put away from 7:30 am-2:30 pm, or better yet, left at home.  They will be confiscated if they are seen.  First offense, your parent will be notified and you can pick up earbuds at the end of the school day.  Second offense, your parent will need to pick up the earbuds and you will get a lunch detention.

PICTURE MAKE-UP DAY IS mONDAY, sEPTEMBER 29, 2014 in the Gym Foyer.  Picture packets are available in the office.

Hey Mustangs! We look forward to seeing you this Friday night at our Homecoming football game, where our Varsity football team will take on the North Valleys Panthers.   We are excited for this year’s half time parade which has grown adding to our excitement. If your club will be competing in the Float Parade competition, please make sure that your float is staged behind the gate, on the track, next to the snack bar by 3:30 that day! Please remember, your float can be carried, or pulled, but may only be pulled by a golf cart, no exceptions! Our judges will be judging the floats after the staging/parking of the floats are all lined up. The winner will be announced during half time where the trophy will be awarded to the winning float and the team/club.

We look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Hey Damonte!  Got a car for Homecoming but realized you haven’t gotten it washed and decided to wait to the last minute? No worries because Hispanic Club is having a carwash on Saturday, September 27^th from 10 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Come down to the O’Reillys next to the Walmart at Damonte Ranch Parkway and get your car washed. They will be taking money donations. Come by and support this club so you can pick up your date and show up to the dance in a Clean Dirt Free Car.

Literary Club!  Remember, there’s an important meeting on Friday to continue developing our new ideas for this year’s Hoof Notes.  Please come right to Ms. Servilican’s room, #214,  at lunch and bring your new ideas and pictures for the classroom envelopes.  Bring a friend and join us for a fun-filled lunch.

Attention any boys interested in playing basketball: Player Development has started for any boy interested and not participating in a fall sport. Workouts will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday right after school in the main gym. See Coach Sheets with any questions.

Girls Basketball Player Development Open Gym will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting September 1^st in the small gym, immediately after school.  Any questions please see Coach Schmidt in room 231.

Damonte Ranch High School alumnus, Russell Chase, who now attends Harding University, was honored by the Great American Conference as the Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

If you are a part of any club or organization within this school, we invite you to participate in our float parade at this year’s Homecoming Halftime Show, where our Damonte Ranch Varsity Football Team will take on the North Valley’s Panthers.  All clubs are invited, and encouraged to participate, and it is a great opportunity for bonding and getting your club out there to the entire crowd!  If interested, please contact Ms. Nichols or Miles Anderson by Friday, 9/19, for information and float requirements, we all look forward to seeing your creations!

Today is the new member meeting for the Future Business Leaders of America!  Come to room 130 at lunch to learn all about FBLA and the amazing opportunities it holds…. Like a chance to become a State and/or a National Champion!  It will be the best decision you make today!    (September 17^{th )}

Congratulations PAC Drama students for their achievement over the weekend at the Northern Nevada Technical Olympics!  Jenelle Morter won 2nd place in Lighting, and Brianna Hughes also took 2nd place in Construction!  Overall, PAC Drama took first place in accuracy, with perfect scores in 5 out of 7 events!  Congratulations also go to team members Ilana Barry, Riley Berriesford, Charlie Rieckers, and Maggie Regier for helping our team earn that award!  Way to represent PAC Drama!  (9/16 & 9/17)

Car wash, car wash, car wash the news production team is having a car wash this Saturday from 9-2:30 at 7-11 on South Virginia by Walmart.  Cars $5, Trucks $7.  See you there!!
