This is the last week for Prom ticket sales.  Tickets are $50.  We will not be selling tickets the week of Prom or at the door.  Friday will be your last chance to buy a ticket.  Don't miss out on your chance to attend this year's Prom! 

(Run:  Mon March 4 - Friday March 8)

Oh my goodness, it's been too long since we've had a Donut Day!  To remedy that, JAG Damonte will be hosting a DONUT DAY on Wednesday, March 13th during lunch.  We will be selling donuts both in the Student Store and at a cart in the main hall.  Donuts sell for only $1, so get there quick - we always sell out!

Join the Damonte Mountain Bike Team where we ride local trails 3 days a week and participate in 4 races in our season (July 1 - October 15).  Sign ups start in May!

The Damonte Speech & Debate Team closed out their regular season with a fantastic showing at Spanish Springs High School.  

 

Jenni Whitbeck - first place senior LD, 4th top LD speaker

David Barrientos - first place speaker senior LD, third place LD debate, first place senior impromptu 

Connor Estes - third place novice LD, 5th top novice LD speaker

Ronald Du - 3rd place foreign extemporaneous speaking

Kaylee Nguyen - 3rd place novice impromptu

Maiya Drake - 5th place novice impromptu

Maranda Templeton - 2nd place Congress

Dalin Moore - 3rd place Congress

 

Overall for the season the team took the second place small schools award, as well as third place in both Impromptu and LD (which are scored against all schools, including those with 20+ competitors).

 

The team heads to Las Vegas for State competition this week, and then finishes the season with Districts just before Spring Break.  

 

ACT Boot Camp – test prep – March 8, 9 and 10 at DRHS.  Boot Camp is open to all DRHS students.  Juniors are especially encouraged to attend.  See your counselor for details.

Damonte Ranch High School is proud to announce the addition of a new Multicultural Club.  This club will be responsible for promoting diversity awareness at DRHS as well as provide students with an opportunity to share their unique cultures with each other and the community.  Members will play an important role in planning the DRHS Multicultural Fair and other events throughout the year.  This club provides the opportunity to meet new people, develop leadership skills, and strengthen your ties to Damonte Ranch High School.  The first meeting will be on Tuesday, February 26^th in room W154 at lunch.  We hope to see you there!
