The Damonte Speech & Debate Team closed out their regular season with a fantastic showing at Spanish Springs High School.  

 

Jenni Whitbeck - first place senior LD, 4th top LD speaker

David Barrientos - first place speaker senior LD, third place LD debate, first place senior impromptu 

Connor Estes - third place novice LD, 5th top novice LD speaker

Ronald Du - 3rd place foreign extemporaneous speaking

Kaylee Nguyen - 3rd place novice impromptu

Maiya Drake - 5th place novice impromptu

Maranda Templeton - 2nd place Congress

Dalin Moore - 3rd place Congress

 

Overall for the season the team took the second place small schools award, as well as third place in both Impromptu and LD (which are scored against all schools, including those with 20+ competitors).

 

The team heads to Las Vegas for State competition this week, and then finishes the season with Districts just before Spring Break.  

 

In-N-Out Spirit Night is this Wednesday, March 6th from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at the In-N-Out Burger on South Virginia Street.  20% of your purchase will go back to Damonte Ranch HS!  Join us for dinner and mention DRHS.  Take a photo of the flier in the hallway to show.  Support the Mustangs!  (Run Tuesday, March 5th and Wednesday, March 6th)

 

This is the last week for Prom ticket sales.  Tickets are $50.  We will not be selling tickets the week of Prom or at the door.  Friday will be your last chance to buy a ticket.  Don't miss out on your chance to attend this year's Prom! 

(Run:  Mon March 4 - Friday March 8)

 

Seniors, interested in have the "Seal of Biliteracy" in World Language but you did not receive the letter, please stop by TODAY in Ms. Chavez's room 234 and ask for the form. You will have until Wednesday to turn and pay $25 for the exam.

 

Mustangs! Are you ready to go to prom?  Are you taking an underclassman or someone from outside Damonte?  Then make sure your guest passes are signed and approved immediately!

 

Guest pass forms can be found in the Counselor’s Hallway by the Career Center or in the Corral.  All completed forms should be submitted to the Corral as soon as possible because there’s a limited number of tickets, and they sell fast!

 

Unfortunately, we’re unable to sell you a ticket for your guest until your guest pass has been approved.  The very last day to get your forms approved is March 6th but don’t wait because there may not be enough tickets for you and date.

 

See you at prom!!  (February 11 to March 6th)

 

ACT Boot Camp – test prep – March 8, 9 and 10 at DRHS.  Boot Camp is open to all DRHS students.  Juniors are especially encouraged to attend.  See your counselor for details.

Hey Mustangs are you looking for volunteer opportunities?  Renown Health 2019 is looking for high school volunteers ready to explore the medical field.  Please stop by to pick up an application in the Career Center.  The deadline is March 14th.
