Today is an “a” DaY

The Varsity and JV cheer teams will be competing on Saturday at the Rail City Cheer Competition at Sparks High School at 2:00.  Come out and support the Mustang cheerleaders!

All boys that are interested in playing golf this spring there will be an informative meeting with Coach Magrum in room 107 on Tuesday, February 11th at lunch.  If you can’t attend the meeting please go to room 107 to get information for Boys Golf. 

Hola amigos: Valentine’s Day is coming up and Hispanic Club will be selling Valentine’s grams at lunch, through Thursday, February 13th. You can reach us in front of the Career Center to buy one, and give someone a greeting for this day with a nice Valentine gram. Please provide the fifth period room number for delivery. Deliveries will be made on Friday, February 14th at 5*

Track & Field Pre-Season Workouts are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3 pm-4:30 pm.  Meet at the Track.

Ever thought about auditioning for the musical at Damonte Ranch, but were unsure about what’s expected?!  Then come check out the Pre-Audition Workshops after school in the theatre on February 11thPal Joey is a gritty musical comedy from the late 1930’s, with some similarities to popular musicals like Guys and Dolls, Cabaret, and Chicago!  You won’t want to miss out!  Check out the bulletin board outside the theatre for a list of characters, songs, and audition information.  Still have questions?  See Mr. Hearn!

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Did you attend Pleasant Valley Elementary school?  The Career Center now has the application for the Pleasant Valley Elementary school scholarship.  Deadline is March 24th.  Also, if your parent(s) are teachers for the WCSD and belong to Washoe Educators Association (WEA) there are four scholarships opportunities for you.  Please stop in the Career Center and see Mrs. Aikin.

What are you doing this Saturday at 2:30?  Coming to our Dance Studio to see the touring production of “Living Legends” for only a $2 donation, with all proceeds to benefit the Performing Arts Center!  This production is a celebration of Native American, Polynesian, and Latin American music and dance.  “Living Legends” will also perform at the Pioneer Center for MUCH more than $2 on Saturday night, so come check it out on the sly before the rest of Reno joins in!

At these games, you have an amazing opportunity to support a great cause.  Wooster High School is running a No Kid Hungry campaign!  How can you help end child hunger?  Buy a shirt for $5 during lunch in the counselor’s hallway.  Oh yeah…WEAR your shirt to the game and you get in free!  This is for the @Wooster games Today only.  And if you’d like, perishable donations will be accepted at the gate.  Shirts will also be sold at the gate.  Hope to see you there, Damonte.

the International Club will meet on Friday, January 31, at lunch in room 232.  We will have a guest speaker who will be talking about Southeast Asia.  We’ll see you there!
