Students:  Please remind your parents…When you need to leave school for an appointment, your parent/guardian must either write a note for you to leave or come into the office to sign you out.  Please do not tell them to call the school, as we need their signature in order to release you.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The Literary Club is meeting this Friday, February 13, at lunch in Ms. Servilican’s room.  Please bring your lunch and come prepared with your advertisements.   

Congratulations to Isabella Dominguez and Sara Sime who competed at the Rotary Speech Contest.  Bella took 1st place and won $250.00 and Sara Sime took 3rd place and won $50.00.  Please congratulate them.

The Literary Club, Hoof Notes, is looking for cover submissions for this year’s literary magazine.  Please make sure it’s reflective of Damonte Ranch High School and says “Hoof Notes.”  This is the last week to submit cover designs to Ms. Servilican in room 214.  You may also e-mail a design to Ms. Servilican through school e-mail.  The winner will receive a $100.00 gift card so don’t hesitate, submit your cover today! 

The Literary Club is looking for submissions of artwork, poetry, prose, drama, photography, foreign language, and nonfiction.  Please submit your work today by picking up a submission sheet in any English class or the art room as well as the library.  Submissions can also be dropped off in Ms. Servilican’s room, 214.  You have until the end of March to submit to this year’s Hoof Notes.  There are prizes for winners including $100.00 gift cards for first place winner.

IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE—IT’S MR. MUSTANG. The annual senior boy pageant is tonight. Nine heroes will compete to be Mr. Mustang at 7 pm. Tickets will be sold next week at lunch for $7, or buy a VIP ticket for $15 and get an extra treat during the show. At the door tickets are $9. Be swept off your feet by our charming heroes tonight at 7.  (Feb. 12)

Hey Mustangs, Valentine’s Day is coming up and Hispanic Club will be selling Valentine Grams at lunch this week. You can reach us in front of the Career Center to buy one, and give someone a greeting for this special day with a nice Valentine Gram. Please provide the fifth period room number for delivery. Deliveries will be made on Friday the 13th during 5th period. (2/5-2/12)

This Wednesday night, February 11, at 6:30 in the Library, the Damonte counselors will be coming to the Booster meeting to speak to parents (and students) about the upcoming registration for the 2015-16 school year.  They will tell us about new classes, what is required to graduate, how to keep your child on-track to graduation, etc.  They will also be available to answer any questions you have about high school and beyond!
