PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

Today is aN “A” DaY

Support DRHS on Friday by enjoying a great meal at Qdoba this Friday.  Just stop by between 2:00 pm and 9:00 pm.  Let the cashier know you want Damonte Ranch High School to receive fundraising credit for your purchase.  This is a delicious way to raise money for DRHS and you can either dine in or take out!  Qdoba Mexican Grill will donate 20% of your purchase to Damonte and all money raised will go to support the 3 A's - academics, arts and athletics.  See you at Qdoba!  

Attention!  All Literary Club Members.  There will be two important meetings this week.  One on Wednesday during lunch in Ms. Servilican’s room #214, and another on Friday during lunch in Ms. Servilican’s room.  Please plan to attend and help us finalize writing plans for the magazine.  We need your help! 

BSU is having a meeting during lunch on Friday, April 25 in room 128.”

Hey Mustangs! Our last blood drive of the year is coming up this Friday.  Sign-ups begin today at lunch in the counselor's hallway and will end Thursday at 2:30.  Did you know that there are over 1,000 students at our school who are old enough to donate?  If each eligible student donated, we could save about 3,000 lives!  Each donation counts!  So sign up today and save a life

All 2014 Graduating Seniors are invited to attend this year's Grad Night Trip to Six Flags - Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA (Southern California).   The trip includes chartered bus transportation, admission into the park, breakfast, lunch and dinner, dancing to a DJ and much, much, more!  The cost of the trip is $150, a $250 value.

Amigos!  5 de Mayo is coming!!!  Hispanic Club is preparing exciting activities for the whole school. As part of the traditional lunch celebration, the club is going to host the World Cultures’ Event.  If you would like to participate, contact Mrs. Long (Room 217) or Mrs. Gutierrez (Room 202).  You can get a table and represent the country of your choice.  Artifacts, pictures and food (you can offer samples or sell food) are just a few of the possibilities.  All the DRHS clubs are welcome to join us!  Let’s have fun at 5 de Mayo!

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas will host the 2014 Summer Transportation Institute (STI) Program for high school participants from July 14, 2014 – July 28, 2014. This will be a residential program where the participants will reside on the UNLV campus and participate in transportation related activities. The purpose of the STI Program is to create awareness and stimulate interest in high school students to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist in the transportation industry.
*      Be in the 10th or 11th grade for the 2014-2015 school year.
*      Have completed or be qualified to enroll in Algebra for the 2014-2015 school year.
*      Have cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (minimum).
*      Have an interest in engineering, science, transportation, or technology-related careers.
Application in the Career Center Deadline to Apply is May 16th.
