All- Just a friendly reminder that the Best Buddies Organization will be here Wednesday
at lunch in room 201 for our first organizational meeting. If you signed up with the Best Buddies
Organization and Damonte Chapter before fall break please be sure to join us at
lunch on Wednesday for our first official meeting! See you there! (Run Tues

There
will be a meeting in Mr. Pence’s room, room number 121, on Wednesday November 4th,
for all boys interested in trying out for basketball this season. Join us!
Students!
Bring in your parent surveys ASAP. The top three classes to get them turned
in by Nov 13th win TREATS! Any questions please ask your IC
and Freshman Seminar teacher for more information.

Seniors….
You will be taking your Senior Panoramic photo this Thursday the 5th.
Make sure to wear your Senior shirt! If you did not purchase your Senior Shirt,
wear a Blue Damonte Shirt! (Run 11/3-11/5)
SENIORS:
You must sign up for an ACT or an SAT this week if you want to take one in
December. This is important! UNR and other colleges want a score from a
test this year. Please see your
counselor or check your senior folder for dates and web sites and get signed up
for an ACT or SAT this week! Fee waivers
are available If you qualify, see your counselor. (Run through 11/6/15)
pre-season practice
for wrestling will be on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays,
through November 13, from 5-7 pm in the Wrestling Room. Wrestling Season begins on Monday, November
16.

Damonte! Are you interested in joining our bowling team??? We compete
against the other high schools in Reno and Carson. The season starts in
November 18 and runs through mid-March. All levels of expertise are
encouraged as we have great coaches that will help you (even if you’ve only
ever bowled with bumpers!!) If you would like more information, please
put your name and info down on the bookkeepers door (Ms. Wallace) so we can
contact you and stay tuned for meeting announcements. (Run through 11/10)
Winter Sports are coming!!!
Any students interested in playing a WINTER sport, Boys &
Girls Basketball, Wrestling & Ski, pick up an athletic packet in the main
office. Clearance dates will be November 2 - November 10, 2015. Students
who have played a fall sport, and are interested in signing up for a winter
sport, may go to the Main Office and sign the clipboard at the Athletic
Counter.

Ranch is offering free ASVAB assessment testing on November 4th.
The ASVAB is a free test offered to help you know where your strengths lie in
specific career fields. The ASVAB is also used by the government and
military for career field placement. The test will be given at 12:00 on
November 4th. Students that are interested in taking the test
can sign up in the Career Center to reserve a spot. Spots are limited so
sign up today!
Damonte Ranch Lacrosse Club will be having an informational meeting on
Monday, November 16th from 6-8pm in the DRHS library. Everyone is
welcome, as it is a great chance to come learn about Damonte Ranch Lacrosse,
meet the coaches, board members, parents, and returning players. We hope to see
everyone there! Go Mustangs!
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Essay Contest – “Pursuing the Dream in 2016”. High School scholarship award is
$400 Deadline is January 4, 2016. Stop by Career Center for further details.

Senior Portraits! Remember, if you don’t make an appointment with Lifetouch
before November 19th then your memorable Senior Portrait will NOT be
in the Yearbook! Lifetouch has extended hours for Fall Break, Monday through
