THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 5, 2016, in observance of Labor Day.

 

The Damonte Ranch football program welcomes you to come support your Mustang varsity football players in their first home game of the season, this Friday, September 2nd at 7 pm.  We need all of the support we can get as we take on Edison High School from Fresno, California. Be loud and cheer hard!  Go Mustangs!   (Please run this announcement until Friday, 9/2)

Hola Amigos!  Hispanic Club will hold the first meeting on Thursday, September 8th in room 232 at lunch time.  Bring your lunch and friends to start a new exciting year with fun and interesting activities.  See you there!

Are you interested in being a paid peer tutor?  The rate of pay is $10 per hour, and individual families hire approved students outside of school hours as paid peer tutors.  Please see Mrs. Ault in room 122 if you are interested.   (run from 9/1until 9/7)

 

Hey Mustangs!  FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is back for its first meeting of the year during lunch on Tuesday, Sept 6th, in room 111.   We will have member of the Nevada Women's Basketball Team speaking next Tuesday at lunch in Mrs. Woo's room and that she was Mountain West All-Academic team and started 30 games for the Wolf Pack.

The selection process begins in October with the preliminary application to be submitted by September 23, 2016. Slots fill up quickly, so talk to your parents about this. Students and faculty:  this is a friendly reminder that you must have a registered parking pass to be able to park on campus.  If you do not have a parking pass, please swing by the corral to pick up an application at any time.  Any car parked on campus that does not have a registered 2016-2017 parking pass, will be tagged as a violator starting Monday, September 12th.  Also, please remember that student parking is only permitted in the north and south parking lots, violators will also be tagged for parking in the wrong areas.  If you have any questions feel free to stop by the Corral! The Gigafactory will be hosting a High School Information Session on Saturday September 17th, 2016.

A fantastic trip to Spain & Portugal over Spring Break of 2017 is coming.  Experience the trip of a lifetime to the Latin part of Europe. Stop by Mr. Kaplan’s room #206 for more information Mondays or Tuesdays during lunch or before or after school on those days. If you have a “B” and can act mature and respectful in other countries---come join us.  A couple of people have already signed up at the discounted rate (through Sept.) —so don’t wait!

 

Our debate team sent Jennifer Whitbeck to Nationals this last year where she competed in Congressional Debate in Salt Lake City.
