That’s right, all students with perfect attendance-third quarter-will be invited to a Nacho Party hosted by Mrs. Hausauer.  The party will also include drawings for raffle prizes.   

 

The Damonte Ranch third quarter Perfect Attendance Competition is set to kick off on Monday, January 23^rd.  See hallway posters for more details.  The intention of this first ever Perfect Attendance Competition is to reward students who attend school.  Students who attend school are more successful and more likely to graduate.

Attention Students and Staff!  It’s that time of year, time for Dancing With The Staff!  The show will take place this Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in the theater.  Tickets are $8 per seat and arrive early for the best spot.  There will be a bake sale at intermission and your votes are needed to crown this year’s champion.  See you on Thursday!!

 

Attention Key Club Members:  Please plan on attending our meeting next Monday.  We will be having officer elections.  If you are interested in running for office, please contact Kira ASAP!  (no seniors, please)  (Run until Monday 1/30)

This past weekend, all three of the DRHS cheer teams traveled to California for a regional competition, and all three teams qualified for Nationals.  The Freshman cheer team scored first in their division, the JV cheer team scored second in their division, and the Varsity cheer team scored first in their division.  We are very proud of the performances of all three teams and all their hard work!  They will be competing this Saturday at Spanish Springs High School for a local competition, and they would love to have students come and support them!  The Freshman team competes at 1pm, JV competes at 1:30, and Varsity competes at 2:20.  Go Mustangs!

Scholarships for High School Girls…The P.E.O. sisterhood is an international philanthropic educational organization.  The Nevada Chapter will be awarding three (3) scholarships of $2,000 each.  Deadline is March 18^th.  Stop by the Career Center for more information and a hard copy of the scholarship application.

 

Soroptimist International of Reno Education Scholarship for $2,500 is now open.  Application Deadline is March 14^th.  Stop by the Career Center for a hard copy of the scholarship application.

 

Western Nevada Cattlewomen Scholarship for $1,000 is now open.  Application Deadline is March 15^th.  Stop by the Career Center for a hard copy of the scholarship application.

 

WEA-Washoe Education Association Scholarships are now open and the deadline is March 17^th.

Northern Nevada Women’s Golf Association scholarship for up to $2,000 is now open.  Application Deadline is April 15^th. Please go to NNWGA.org and click on Juniors.  Scroll to the bottom and print out the application.  Also please see your coach.
