PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

President’s Day.
The
DRHS cheer teams travelled to Las Vegas this weekend for another successful
competition. Freshmen scored first place, JV scored second place, and Varsity
scored first place. Congratulations to all three teams for great results!!

Don’t miss the upcoming production of Hiroshima:
Crucible of Light, playing this week
right here at Damonte Ranch PAC Drama. This production incorporates
history, mythology, puppetry, dance, and parody as it chronicles the work
behind the first atomic bomb and its effect on all of humanity. The play is at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday, and is also at 3:00 on Friday—stay after school with your friends
to catch this moving production. Tickets are available in advance from
Mr. Hearn or Mrs. Kenyon, or available at the door—check out the posters in the
main hall for more information!
KIDS
University at UNR is looking for high school volunteers to help us with camp
this summer! KIDS University is a 7-week summer camp for kids in 2nd-8th
grade that is held on the UNR campus each summer. We offer a variety of
educational classes in the mornings followed by recreational activities in the
afternoons. Camp dates will be June 12-July 28, 2017. Camp hours
are 7:30am-5:30pm. We ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 weeks
during the summer. Hours can be flexible.

Explore,
wonder, and DISCOVER the excitement of prom! Buy your pre-sold tickets February 21st-March
3rd for $45 in the counselor's hallway. On the very first day of selling, Tuesday the
21st, there will be a line selling tickets for seniors ONLY. This time ensures all seniors to have the
opportunity to score their tickets ahead of time. This will be the only day there will be a
separate line for seniors! Due to the
capacity of the Discovery Museum, there will be a limited number of tickets
being sold. Tickets will only be sold to
upperclassmen. If you would like to
bring a guest from another school you must fill out a guest pass which are
found in the corral. Guest passes are
available until February 26 and are due no later 2:30pm. Discover prom with us on March 4th! (Run February 13 – 17)
This Friday, show off your guitar hero skills right outside the
student store for just one dollar. You
can play or just watch your friends.
Also if you buy a Damonte Ranch High School Hat, hoodie, or backpack at
the student store you will get one free game.
Remember, all student store proceeds benefit scholarships. Remember this Friday in front of the student
store, See you at the student store! (Run 13-17)
Hey Lady
Mustangs, softball tryouts are
right around the corner. Tryouts will
begin Monday, February 27th at 3:30 pm. Start conditioning and getting ready for the
new season today. Be sure to register online for a
spring sport and have your updated physicals/health forms. Come out and have fun
playing softball and make memories that will last a lifetime! (Run until
Monday, February 27th.)
