TODAY IS AN “A” DAY
Damonte
Ranch will begin expanding today. That is right, we are getting 19 new
classrooms and 4 new science labs. There will not be any parking
available in the back of the building nor will there be parking available in
the front right hand lot if you are facing west. Please be very aware of
heavy equipment and warning signs. Please remember that Student Parking
is allowed on the north & south sides of the school only.
Congratulations
to the Damonte Ranch Academic Olympics team as they are sweeping the playing
field clean! They are undefeated at 16-0 and are making school history by being
the first Academic Olympics team at Damonte ever to go into the final match as
the first seed. Captained by Justin Bertrand, the team includes seniors Joey
Addington, Ryan Regier, Shasta Longo, Olivia Miller, Hailey Padua,
Abbey Malabuyoc, and your own Mr. Mustang, Jason Owens. Juniors Valentino
Jaganjac and Hadit Manzo are helping light up the competition. Come watch this team in action on Monday,
3/13 at 3:30 in the Hug High School Little Theater. They would love your support!

at lunch starting the Wednesday after Spring

Jostens
will be here, WeDNESday, March 15th, during lunch, set-up by the office, delivering
graduation announcements. Jostens will
also accept graduation and class ring orders.

SENIORS!!
The
following is information on how to submit your baby picture for the senior
video… The baby pictures is placed next to the student’s graduation picture in
the video. All pictures are due electronically only by March 17th.
TMCC Community Education Driver’s Education class, which
costs $99, fulfills the 30-hour classroom requirement. Parents are responsible
for the 50 hours behind-the-wheel component. These classes fill quickly. If
the class you want is full, look for another that has space available. Register

Attention
seniors who would like to purchase the panoramic photo. You can get an order form in the office,
career center, or from Ms. Meyer in room 130.

What is RYLA?
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is a
training program for leaders and potential leaders between their junior and
senior high school years. As a RYLA participant, you will attend an
all-expense-paid, 6 day camp at the Grizzly Creek Ranch in Portola, California.
Applications for the RYLA Leadership Camp 2017 can be found in the Career
Center or online at www.Camp-RYLA.org
Application deadline is April 5th.
KIDS
University at UNR is looking for high school volunteers to help us with camp
this summer! KIDS University is a 7-week summer camp for kids in 2nd-8th
grade that is held on the UNR campus each summer. We offer a variety of
educational classes in the mornings followed by recreational activities in the
afternoons. Camp dates will be June 12-July 28, 2017. Camp hours
are 7:30am-5:30pm. We ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 weeks
during the summer. Hours can be flexible.

opportunity to take the Accuplacer Placement Test on Wednesday April 26th
starting at 2 PM. You will need to be in your seat by 1:40 PM as we will be
begin promptly at 2 PM. Please stop by the Career Center to sign up and reserve
