HEARING & VISION SCREENING FOR ALL 10TH GRADERS is Thursday, March 2nd.  If you wear glasses, please remember to bring them with you that day.

 

Have you been dreaming about prom since you were a freshman?  Well it’s time to Discover what prom is all about! Tickets will be sold at lunch for the rest of this week for $50 in the counselor's hallway.  See you on March 4th.  If you are bringing a guest from another school, your guest passes must already be turned in.  Follow your dreams and Discover Prom!  (Air February 27 – March 2)

Kobe Kitson for 1st place speech event and 1st place debate event in addition to taking 3rd place in speaker points for debate.

Ryan Regier for 3rd place debate event and 2nd place for speaker points for debate.

Jenni Whitbeck 4th place in Congress

 

In Sweepstake Awards Damonte took 1st place in Small Schools and 2nd place in Infos. Speech event.

Dodge, duck, dip, dive, dodge!  The annual dodgeball tournament is coming soon.  Teams can sign up from Wednesday March 1st to Friday March 3rd in the counseling hallway.  Please see Mrs. Woo or Mrs. Ault for more information.

 

 

Are you attending the Prom?  Ally’s Prom Closet is opening soon. This is an organization that helps students with dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. If you need help with prom, see your counselor for more details.

 

KIDS University at UNR is looking for high school volunteers to help us with camp this summer!  KIDS University is a 7-week summer camp for kids in 2nd-8th grade that is held on the UNR campus each summer.  We offer a variety of educational classes in the mornings followed by recreational activities in the afternoons.  Camp dates will be June 12-July 28, 2017.  Camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm.  We ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 weeks during the summer.  Hours can be flexible.

The following is information on how to submit your baby picture for the senior video… The baby pictures is placed next to the student’s graduation picture in the video.  All pictures are due electronically only by March 17th.

TMCC Community Education Driver’s Education class, which costs $99, fulfills the 30-hour classroom requirement. Parents are responsible for the 50 hours behind-the-wheel component. Seniors: The 2017 United Federal Credit Union Scholarship program is now opened for applications. Deadline is March 31st. Stop by the Career Center for an application or go to https://unitedfcu.com/scholarship.

***Please note that applicants must be active members of the United Federal Credit Union to be eligible.

 

Soroptimist International of Reno Education Scholarship for $2,500 is now open.  Application Deadline is March 14th.  Stop by the Career Center for a hard copy of the scholarship application.

 

Western Nevada Cattlewomen Scholarship for $1,000 is now open.  Application Deadline is March 15th.  Stop by the Career Center for a hard copy of the scholarship application.

 

Attention Seniors who attended Marvin Moss elementary school…the Marvin Moss PTA Scholarship is now open for you to apply. There are four $500.00 scholarships. Deadline is March 17th. Stop by the Career Center for a hard copy of the application.

 

WEA-Washoe Education Association Scholarships are now open and the deadline is March 17th.

P.E.O. Scholarships for High School Girls…The P.E.O. sisterhood is an international philanthropic educational organization.  The Nevada Chapter will be awarding three (3) scholarships of $2,000 each.  Deadline is March 18th.  Stop by the Career Center for more information and a hard copy of the scholarship application.

 

Nevada Jiffy Lube Teen Drive Scholarship Program is still accepting applications.  $3,000 Overall Scholarship Award

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Greater Nevada Credit Union has established a total of 20 $2,000 scholarships to applicants who are members of Greater Nevada or the child of a GN member.
