Hola Amigos!  5 de Mayo is coming!!!  As part of the traditional lunch celebration, Hispanic Club invites you this Friday to enjoy a very tasty Mexican food and music in the courtyard at lunch time. We will selling 2 tacos plus rice and beans $5.00, drinks $ 1.00 and Ice cream with sweet Mexican bread $ 2.50

The deadline has been moved from late April to mid-May. We hope to see you submit your lit. to either your English classroom or Ms. Servilican’s room #214. 

 

Juniors and Seniors, if you are interested in taking the ASVAB, it will be held on May 3, in the Rifle Range at 8 am.  Please sign up in the Career Center.

 

The Ceramics Dept. will be selling fused glass jewelry in room 146 from 2:30-3:30 beginning Monday May 1 and running through Friday May 12.

The work for sale will be on display in the case in front of room 144 in the arts hall.

All proceeds go to buy supplies for our students and DRHS students get a $5.00 discount on up to three items.

These items make perfect Mother’s Day gifts. Come out support the Ceramics dept. at Damonte!

 

Show your pride and support student scholarships at the same time, buy a Damonte Ranch High School hoodie, hat, sweatpants or T-shirt. All less than $20. They make great gifts. near the stadium. Breakfast will be breakfast tacos or a

honey siracha whole-grain donut. Lunch will “NOSHos!”

nachos. The Noshery will accept free/reduced,

Which dinosaur has the widest vocabulary?  A thesaurus rex!  Now that we have your attention, remember to submit your writing whether it be poetry, short story, nonfiction, a song, a dramatic piece, artwork or photography to Hoof Notes.  Go online to HoofNotesdrhs@gmail.com or submit your work in the envelopes in the English classrooms, in the library or on the bulletin board by the theater.  You can also drop off your submissions to Room 214.  Submit your work now for a chance to have it published and awarded.  We’ve moved our deadline to mid-May.  We need more entries to have a book this year!

PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS A “B” DAY

 

Northwest Invitational on April 15 had some amazing performances at the track and field met at McQueen which resulted in…

a Win for the Boys and Second place for the lady Mustangs!

 

·         Adonis Williams set the standard for the shot put in Nevada. His throw of 56 feet, 3 inches, is the best in the state so far this season.

·         Cassidy Osborne-Butler from Damonte won the girls shot (44-11.5) and discus)124-10).

·         Aric Turner Set two school school records,  9:33.8 in the 3000 Meters and 4:15.55 in the 1500 Meters           

·         Erin Moyer, Damonte Ranch senior, looked comfortable in winning the girls 3000 in 10:46.57 , setting a new School record by 22 seconds! She also set a new Personal record in the 1500/ 5:02.28

·         Carley Legenbauer is by far the fastest Freshman in the state with very impressive times in the 3000 and 1500 meters!

·         Bryson Toles, from Damonte, won the boys 200 in 22.37.

·         Colton McGuire from Damonte won the 300 hurdles in 42.20

·         Jacob Iveson a Senior at Damonte set a Personal best of 50.63 in the 400 meters and set a time that Qualified him for the Meet of Champions in a couple weeks.

·         Robby Garlock from Damonte won the boys long jump at 21-5.

 

·         Damonte won the boys team with 148.25 points, ahead of McQueen at 102.

McQueen won the girls team title with 98.5 points barely ahead of Damonte at 92.
