Mustangs who attended prom this year! If you bought photos from LifeTouch at the
prom, they will be available to pick up in the counselor's hallway during lunch
on April 11th and 12th. After that, photos will be available to pick up in room
101, during IC. Please run on April 11th and 12th.
Which
dinosaur has the widest vocabulary? A thesaurus rex! Now that we have
your attention, remember to submit your writing whether it be poetry, short
story, nonfiction, a song, a dramatic piece, artwork or photography to

or submit your work in the envelopes in the English classrooms, in the library
or on the bulletin board by the theater. You can also drop off your
submissions to Room 214. Submit your work now for a chance to have it
published and awarded. We’ve moved our deadline to mid-May. We need
more entries to have a book this year!
The
speech and debate team travelled to Douglas this last weekend to
compete in the regional tournament. Congratulations to these students who may
advance to Nationals:

The week of April 10th is Half Off Library Fines Week!! If you have a late fee, come into the Library
and pay half – we’ll delete the other half. This applies to Library fines only –
not textbooks. It also only applies to late fines – not lost book
fines. This is a super easy and affordable way to get those pesky
fines off your plate. See you soon!

KIDS
University at UNR is looking for high school volunteers to help us with camp
this summer! KIDS University is a 7-week summer camp for kids in 2nd-8th
grade that is held on the UNR campus each summer. We offer a variety of
educational classes in the mornings followed by recreational activities in the
afternoons. Camp dates will be June 12-July 28, 2017. Camp hours
are 7:30am-5:30pm. We ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 weeks
during the summer. Hours can be flexible.

Attention Seniors who have applied and
been accepted to TMCC. Damonte will host a 2nd
opportunity to take the Accuplacer Placement Test on Wednesday April 26th
starting at 2 PM. You will need to be in your seat by 1:40 PM as we will be
begin promptly at 2 PM. Please stop by the Career Center to sign up and reserve
your spot.
SCHOLARSHIPS- (Please read twice per week)
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL- DDES PTA is offering two $500.00
scholarships. Deadline is April 14th. Stop by the Career Center to
pick up a hard copy of the application.
Northern
Nevada Women’s Golf Association scholarship for up to $2,000 is now open. Application Deadline is April 15th.
