PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
TODAY IS AN “A” DAY
SPRING BREAK: March 26 - April 6, 2018.
The DRHS Boosters will sponsor bowling at the GSR
on Saturday, April 14 from 1:00 - 5:00. Now is the time to
challenge your friends, family and teachers.......additional details and
tickets will be available April 9. We hope you can be there to have some
fun, support our school and see if you can be a bowling champion!
Over this past weekend, the Damonte
Speech & Debate Team traveled
to Las Vegas for the State Tournament. Kobe Kitson is the State Champion
in Original Oratory and took 4th in Lincoln Douglas Debate. Jade Whitbeck
was the only student from Northern Nevada to go into Semis and then Finals of
Congress and took 7th. Those two students, combined with the efforts of
Jenni Whitbeck, David Barrientos, and Ronald Du, WON the STATE SWEEPSTAKES
CHAMPIONSHIP for the FIRST TIME EVER for DAMONTE. In the 20+ years this
award has been given out, Northern Schools have only won a handful of
times, and now it is ours! The Team will
be competing at Districts this week to determine who goes to Nationals.
