GRANDMA THIEDE’s MAC N CHEESE with a side green salad this Friday at lunch.  $3 donation at the door or ahead of time with Mrs. Thiede.
Only 50 dishes are made so hurry down so you don’t miss out .

Like Candy? Want to help teenagers in need? Come on down to Hausauer Hall at lunch next week for a chance to win either a jar of skittles or a jar of lollipops. All you have to do is guess how many you think are in each jar! Each guess is a dollar, and all donations will be going to the local teen shelter, The Eddy House. The National Honor Society hopes to see you next week!   (For 9/12-9/14)

Ski season is just around the corner.  Anyone interested in joining the Damonte Ranch Ski Team, please come to the meeting Wednesday, Sept. 12th at lunch in Room 211.  You do not need to have experience in ski racing but must be an advanced skier.


 


Friday, September 14, is the first day you will be able to redeem Mustang Bucks at the stand in front of the Student Store during lunch.  Remember to stop by the stand tomorrow to check out the items to spend your Mustang Bucks on.  DRHS staff will be awarding Mustang Bucks to students for respectful and responsible behavior.  For Thursday, September 13th:


 


Have you heard? The Washoe Noshery Food truck will be at Damonte Ranch High School on Wednesday, September 12, for breakfast and lunch. Special menus have been prepared that include items such as a Hawaiian Breakfast Sandwich and a Mocha Smoothie for breakfast; and Pulled Pork Sliders, Pulled Pork Nachos, and a Vegetarian Baja Salad for lunch. Breakfast is $1.75, Lunch is $3.05 and a single entrée is $2.50. Cash, MySchoolBucks, or free/reduced accounts will be accepted.


 


Hey Juniors, Hablas Español?  Have you ever thought about a career in healthcare?  The University of Nevada, Reno is looking for bilingual students to be part of the CBESS Program.  You will explore careers in healthcare, spend 3 weeks living on the UNR campus during the summer, visit hospitals and clinics, have a mentor, and experience an internship all for free! For more information about this amazing program stop by during lunch at (Career Center) on Thursday September 13th to talk to the reps or please come see (Mrs. Aikin) at the career center for an application.

Attention Juniors.  Any student wishing to take the PSAT and National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test will need to register with the book keeper no later Friday September 28th.  The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered on October 10th at 8am.  The fee to take the exam for juniors is $16.  There are only 150 slots available. (Please keep this is the loop for September.)


 


Perry Outreach Program is on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine in Reno, NV for those female students who interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering.  Stop by the Career Center to see Mrs. Aikin for the application.
