THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2018, in observance of Veterans Day.

 

Damonte Ranch High School will host the Washoe Noshery Food Truck during Breakfast and Lunch on Wednesday, November 14.  Come a little early for breakfast and come back for lunch!  There will be special menu items for both meals that you won’t be able to get anywhere else, including a Mint Chocolate Mocha Smoothie, Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich, and Banana Split Parfait for breakfast; and a Grilled Cheese or Grilled Ham & Cheese Sandwich with Tomato or Cream of Potato Soup for lunch.  It’s the perfect combination now that the weather is getting colder – you won’t want to miss it!

ATTENTION SENIOR CLASS 2019-Informational flyers are being passed out through your Government classes regarding the Senior Class Trip 2019 to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on Saturday, June 8th 2019.  Registration forms are in the Career Center. Deadline for the first deposit and turning in your registration form is Friday December 14th by 3:00 PM.Full cost of this trip is $205.00, first deposit is $75.00.  This will guarantee your seat on the bus.  Please take the form with your deposit/payment to Mrs. Norton in room 226.  Any questions please stop by the Career Center. ATTENTION FRESHMAN CLASS OF 2022 AND STAFF-

Class of 2022 t-shirts are going on sale.  Order forms will be passed out in freshman seminar.  Show your school spirit and buy one today!   They can be ordered up until December 7th.  Please see Mrs. Norton or Mrs. Harlan if you have any questions or need an additional order form.  (Run until 11/15)

 

To help celebrate Key Club week, club members will be visiting IC’s on Friday to ask for spare change to donate to Trick or Treat for Unicef. All donations will go directly to The Eliminate Project to help combat maternal and neonatal tetanus.  (Run until 11/9/18)

 

Damonte Ranch NJROTC Mustang Battalion will be conducting their Area Manager Inspection Friday 9 November.  Come out during IC Friday and show your support.  See all the hard work and time that the Mustang Battalion has put into their AMI with a pass and review, on the football field. (Run until 11/9/18)

 

Please drop off your class jewelry and graduation orders with Jostens from lunch through the end of school, Thursday and Friday, November 8 and 9.  Jostens will be set up in the main hallway.  Packets are available from the office.

 

Calling all girls interested in basketball!  Basketball tryouts will be November 10th from 10:30-2:00 and November 12th from 10:00-2:00.

 

We need your creative works! writing, poetry, photos, memes, art work, songs, any original piece from any time!  The Literary Magazine is accepting submissions now through April 1.  There are cash prizes.  Find more information in your English and Art classes!  (Run until 11/9)

 

Great news!  An internationally best-selling author is visiting Damonte the week after Thanksgiving!  Ellen Hopkins is a local author who writes highly popular, highly reviewed novels including Crank, Glass, Impulse, and her latest release, People Kill People.  If you have read and enjoyed her novels and would like to participate in a conversation with her, visit the Library for more information.  OR, if you would like to try one of her amazing, intense novels to participate in a conversation with her, visit the Library to check one out and learn more about the event.  Super cool opportunity!  See you in the Library!  (Run until 11/9)

Do you park your car on campus??

The deadline for purchasing your student parking permit is November 16.

Parking permit applications can be picked up in the Corral. They are $5 and must be displayed on the vehicle in the front windshield.

Any cars parked on campus after November 16th that do not have a parking permit may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Students can park in the north and south parking lots. Cars parked in any other lot will be notified and asked to move their car immediately. (Run until 11/16/18)
