through the end of school, Thursday and Friday, November 8 and 9. Jostens will be set up in the main
hallway. Packets are available from the
office.
Calling
all girls interested in basketball! Basketball
tryouts will be November 10th from 10:30-2:00 and November 12th
from 10:00-2:00.
We
need your creative works! writing, poetry, photos, memes, art work,
songs, any original piece from any time! The Literary Magazine is accepting submissions
now through April 1. There are cash
prizes. Find more information in your
English and Art classes! (Run until 11/9)
Great
news!
An internationally best-selling author is visiting Damonte the week after
Thanksgiving! Ellen Hopkins is a local author who writes highly popular,
highly reviewed novels including Crank, Glass, Impulse, and her latest
release, People Kill People. If you have read and enjoyed her
novels and would like to participate in a conversation with her, visit the
Library for more information. OR, if you
would like to try one of her amazing, intense novels to participate in a
conversation with her, visit the Library to check one out and learn more about
the event. Super cool opportunity! See you in the Library! (Run until 11/9)
If
you are interested in Bowling, you must have all paperwork and $84 in by
Tuesday, November 6, at Practice at Coconut Bowl @3:15PM. See Mr.
Fournier in Room W251 for details!
On Wednesday, November 7th the University of Nevada, Reno CBESS
recruiters will be hosting an application workshop in the Career Center @ 1 PM
– 1:45 PM. This is for those juniors who are applying to the bilingual
English-Spanish Careers in Healthcare summer program at UNR.
Students DON’T FORGET:
If
you’re interested in playing a Winter Sport, Boys/Girls Basketball, Wrestling
or Ski, the deadline to register is Wednesday, November 7th
online at www.registermyathlete.com. This program only works with Firefox or Google
Chrome. If you have questions, please
see Mrs. Daniels in the main office. (Run until 11/7)

you park your car on campus??
The
deadline for purchasing your student parking permit is November 16.
Parking
permit applications can be picked up in the Corral. They are $5 and must be
displayed on the vehicle in the front windshield.
Any
cars parked on campus after November 16th that do not have a parking
permit may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Students
can park in the north and south parking lots. Cars parked in any other lot will
be notified and asked to move their car immediately. (Run until 11/16/18)
Lost and Found
Students,
are you missing a water bottle? Clothing? Shoes?
Glasses? Be sure to check out the Lost and Found table at the Corral. (Run until 11/2)
Blue IC Passes
Be
sure you are carrying a blue IC Pass if you travel to another class during
IC. Remember, you are expected to remain in the class you have a blue IC
pass to-until the end of IC. (Run until 11/2)
