Safety

Damonte Ranch High School is committed to school safety. If your student hears about a possible
threat or impending school incident, please have them immediately report it
to school administration to ensure school staff is aware of it. Please tell your student to refrain from
posting the information on social media, as this creates rumors and
panic. Remember, your student’s
responsible actions can help keep students safe and they can remain
anonymous.
The WCSD provides video surveillance on school campus’ as well as on
each school bus to help keep students safe.
Schools are required to practice a monthly emergency drill. The best way for students to help during
an emergency is to be where they are expected to be and follow the
emergency procedures they practice.
Monthly, DRHS practices one of the following drills:

Fire Evacuation Drills teach students how to appropriately evacuate
the building and where to report to.
·
A Code Yellow, securing perimeter doors, is utilized to prevent the
occurrence of a major incident when conditions indicate a higher than
normal threat level is present NEAR campus.
·
A Code Red lockdown is utilized when an actual crisis situation or
impending threat has occurred on school campus (or across the street/near
campus).
·
A Code Blue is utilized for a medical emergency. A trained Code Blue team responds to
medical emergencies.
Students have
already practiced a fire drill, earthquake drill, code red drill and a code
blue drill this school year. Safety
is always our primary concern!

becoming an office aide for the Fall Semester, and you have good grades and attendance, please see Mrs. Kenyon
in the office to apply.
The
fourth annual imPACt concert is this Saturday, June 1st. There will be a potluck beforehand at 5:30 pm to
celebrate the PAC department’s accomplishments throughout the year, which is
only open to current and future PAC students.
Admission is completely free. Come see all of our wonderfully talented
performers one last time and support the arts department!
Time
is running out to get your Mustang water Flasks for the summer! Swing by the
Student Store and get one before we close for the year! And speaking of
closing, we will be going out with a bang – yes, our last day open will be
Tuesday, June 4th and it will be DONUT DAY! Get there early –
we always sell out!
This
is it… the last serving of Grandma Thiede’s Mac and Cheese for the year. Monday,
June 3rd at lunch in the foods room. Don’t wait as they sell
out fast. Tell all of your friends how amazing this dish is and come
support the Foods program. Again, Grandma Thiede’s Mac N Cheese with a
green side salad this Monday for a $3 donation to support the Foods program.
All
Students taking AP music theory in the fall, please see Ms Tibben for
your summer assignment.
Friday,
May 31st during lunch is the last day this school year to cash in your Mustang
Bucks at the cart outside the Student Store. Bring your Mustang Bucks and
reward yourself!
Get
all your missing assignments turned in by Friday, May 31st and you will earn a
party with the principal on Tuesday, June 4th during lunch in the
courtyard. If you have No Missing Assignments, be sure to come to the
courtyard for your treats.
