Safety

Damonte Ranch High School is committed to school safety. If your student hears about a possible
threat or impending school incident, please have them immediately report it
to school administration to ensure school staff is aware of it. Please tell your student to refrain from
posting the information on social media, as this creates rumors and
panic. Remember, your student’s
responsible actions can help keep students safe and they can remain
anonymous.
The WCSD provides video surveillance on school campus’ as well as on
each school bus to help keep students safe.
Schools are required to practice a monthly emergency drill. The best way for students to help during
an emergency is to be where they are expected to be and follow the
emergency procedures they practice.
Monthly, DRHS practices one of the following drills:

Fire Evacuation Drills teach students how to appropriately evacuate
the building and where to report to.
·
A Code Yellow, securing perimeter doors, is utilized to prevent the
occurrence of a major incident when conditions indicate a higher than
normal threat level is present NEAR campus.
·
A Code Red lockdown is utilized when an actual crisis situation or
impending threat has occurred on school campus (or across the street/near
campus).
·
A Code Blue is utilized for a medical emergency. A trained Code Blue team responds to
medical emergencies.
Students have
already practiced a fire drill, earthquake drill, code red drill and a code
blue drill this school year. Safety
is always our primary concern!

baseball in the spring, we will be having a meeting in Coach Polson's
room 210 at lunch on Tuesday 10/22.
Do
you like to bowl with your friends? Do you have fun throwing strikes but hate
gutter balls? Want to get good enough to take down the bumpers next time
you bowl?
The
answer to all these questions can be found by joining the bowling team.
You’ll get a chance to hang out with your friends and bowl at the same time.
We’ll coach and help you finally get that perfect 300 score.
If
you just want to have a good time and get better, then join the bowling
team. If you want to compete against other schools in a fun and
competitive atmosphere, then join the bowling team. The bowling team
offers many great opportunities to enjoy the game but still compete if you’re
up for it.
An
important informational meeting will take place Wednesday, October 23rd
and Thursday, October 24th at lunch in Mr. Fournier’s room
W251. He’ll answer any questions you may have about being part of the
team.
Again
that’s Wednesday and Thursday at lunch in W251 with Mr. Fournier.
Hey there Mustangs-This year’s yearbook has been
selling fast. With only 200 left, you
should get yours before they are sold out. Go to Walsworth.com, bring money to the
bookkeeper, or scan the barcodes on the posters with your phone’s camera and
it’ll take you to the site.
