Safety
~From the Corral
Damonte Ranch High School is committed to school safety. If your student hears about a possible
threat or impending school incident, please have them immediately report it
to school administration to ensure school staff is aware of it. Please tell your student to refrain from
posting the information on social media, as this creates rumors and
panic. Remember, your student’s
responsible actions can help keep students safe and they can remain
anonymous.
The WCSD provides video surveillance on school campus’ as well as on
each school bus to help keep students safe.
Schools are required to practice a monthly emergency drill. The best way for students to help during
an emergency is to be where they are expected to be and follow the
emergency procedures they practice.
Monthly, DRHS practices one of the following drills:

Fire Evacuation Drills teach students how to appropriately evacuate
the building and where to report to.
·
A Code Yellow, securing perimeter doors, is utilized to prevent the
occurrence of a major incident when conditions indicate a higher than
normal threat level is present NEAR campus.
·
A Code Red lockdown is utilized when an actual crisis situation or
impending threat has occurred on school campus (or across the street/near
campus).
·
A Code Blue is utilized for a medical emergency. A trained Code Blue team responds to
medical emergencies.
Students have
already practiced a fire drill, earthquake drill, code red drill and a code
blue drill this school year. Safety
is always our primary concern!

Any
current seniors who have already earned their government credit or are not enrolled in a
government class 1st semester please see Mr. Polson in room 210 to
receive your graduation Jostens packet. This packet contains VERY
important information in regards to ordering your graduation announcements and
cap and gown. The order date is coming up VERY soon. (Run through November 4, 2019)
Attention Students:
Are you interested in
playing a Winter Sport, Boys/Girls Basketball, Wrestling or Ski? The
final deadline is November 7. You must register online at www.registermyathlete.com.

might have heard of David Wise… Olympic medalist for freestyle skiing.
Well, guess what? David Wise is coming to DAMONTE to speak at FCA on
Wednesday, November 6th, during lunch in room 124. Everyone is
welcome to attend!
Please
drop off your class jewelry and graduation orders with Jostens on
Thursday, November 7, during Lunch by the Office. Packets are available from the school office.

County Safe and Sober is excited to announce the Senior class of 2020 will
celebrate graduation on the last day of school. Come celebrate with

June 5, 2020- the last day of school
Tickets are now on sale
for $190 and must be purchased in advance. Space is limited-
first come first serve. Deposit to hold your spot is $40 ASAP and
monthly payments are available.
All the information
and registration forms will be given out in government classes
and can be found in Mrs. Norton’s room 226.
