Starting today through next Tuesday, the Culinary Arts program will be selling Jumbo Rice Krispy Valentines grams at lunch for $2.  Yes, I did say JUMBO rice krispy treats that are drizzled with a white / dark chocolate.  Let that special someone, friend, or yourself feel extra special when they receive their message and treat next Friday during 5^th period when they are delivered.  Once again pre sales for JUMBO Rice Krispy Treats drizzled in chocolate for that special person starts Thursday at lunch until next Tuesday with delivery on Friday.  Thank you from the Culinary Arts department.

Have you ever dreamed of being swept off your feet by a chiseled super hero? Well you just might be at Mr. Mustang this Thursday at 7 pm. Watch your senior boys display their valor, wit, and mind blowing talents at the annual pageant. Tickets will be sold at lunch all week for $9, or buy a VIP ticket for $15 and get an extra treat during the show. At the door tickets will be $12. See you this Thursday at 7 pm in the theater.   (Feb. 9)

Hey Mustangs, Valentine’s Day is coming up and Hispanic Club will be selling Valentine Grams at lunch this week. You can reach us in front of the Career Center to buy one, and give someone a greeting for this special day with a nice Valentine Gram. Please provide the fifth period room number for delivery. IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE—IT’S MR. MUSTANG. The annual senior boy pageant is back. Nine heroes will compete to be Mr. Mustang on Thursday, February 12^th at 7 pm. Tickets will be sold next week at lunch for $9, or buy a VIP ticket for $15 and get an extra treat during the show. At the door tickets are $12. Come watch your senior boys display their talents, wit, and creativity at this super event next Thursday.

MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR DAMONTE—The games end today. Will the girls in all pink take back trophy, or will the boys in blue reign as victor for the third time in a row? Compete in the battle of the sexes assembly this afternoon and find out.   Feb. 6

Next we enter the Capitol, now we are the royalty, so dress the part and reign The Capitol with dresses and high class jewelry. If you’re not feeling so sophisticated just wear black.

MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR! For the 1^st annual Damonte Ranch Hunger Games---A BATTLE OF THE SEXES.

In honor of the games we will be having a spirit week, February 2^nd through 6^th.

Start off the week by honoring Panem’s leader by dressing up as the great President Snow, or wear all white.

Are you on Team Peeta? Tuesday release your inner baker and steal an apron from your mom to become the next Peeta Melark. If you are not feeling like a master chef, wear a hat for $1. Remember to buy a wristband from the corral.

Wednesday dress up as the high class citizens of the capitol wear your finest jewelry and your most elegant dress or suit. If you are not feeling so sophisticated for this black tie event, just wear black.

Enter the arena on Tribute Thursday, dress up as a tribute or wear camo as you compete in the Hunger Games.

Let the games begin on Friday with the assembly as girls deck out in pink and boys wear blue head to toe. Bring your game face to compete in the Battle of the Sexes Assembly   (Jan 29-30)

The night you have all been waiting for!! Dancing With the Staff will be on Friday at 7 p.m. in the theater.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is open so get there early.  Ticket prices are $8 per seat.  There will be a silent auction and raffle and a bake sale during intermission.   Plus, you get to watch our awesome administration bring back the boy bands of the 90’s.  This show is a lot of fun so please join us on Friday.

The Literary Club is looking for submissions for our 2^nd annual literary magazine Hoof Notes.  There are submission forms in all the English classrooms and in the library if you’re interested in submitting a short story, poem, drama, or piece of art work.  This year, like last year, there will also be prizes given for winning submissions.  Last year the top prizes awarded were $100.00 gift cards.  We are also looking for a new cover this year.  If you would like to submit a cover it should have the title of the magazine, Hoof Notes, and in some way represent our school.  See Ms. Servilican in Room 214 for further information.  Cover submissions should be in outstanding!  The winner will be awarded a $100.00 gift card and all submissions are due by February 13, 2015.  Submit your cover now.
