TODAY IS AN “A” DAY
PLEDGE
& MOMENT OF SILENCE
So, do you
like “Pitch Perfect” and “The Sing Off”? Then
you will want to join Damonte’s a capella vocal group! Auditions will be
held Thursday and Monday at lunch and during IC for Damonte Ranch’s first
Contemporary A capella group. The group will be made up of ANY singer at
Damonte (you don’t need to be in a choir to audition). The audition will
consist of sight reading and rhythm reading and vocalizing. Ms. Tibben is
looking for 6 singers, any voice part, to make up this group. See her in
room 143 for an appointment or IC pass.
Hey Ninja Mustangs, the
first Asian Club meeting of the year will
be Tuesday, August 27 in Room 116 at lunch. Take advantage of this
opportunity to hang out with friends, meet new people, and enjoy delicious
food.
The first meeting of the
International Club will be Friday at lunch, room
232. Want to learn about other countries? Then come one, come
all, and we’ll see you there! We plan to elect officers so be thinking
about how you can help.
Volleyball will be having
a car wash this Saturday at the 7-11
on S. Virginia and Arrowcreek Parkway from 10 am – 2pm. Tickets are just
$5.00 and can be purchased from your favorite volleyball player!!

Sunrise is this Friday the 23 at 5:30 am! There will be a great breakfast
served, and great games, like the famous Donut eating contest. We will also be
burying a time capsule, so bring something meaningful you can bury, we will
also write a memory note to be put in the capsule. . Don’t miss out on
one of your first and last senior events!
Attention National Honor
Society Members, you have a mandatory
meeting on August 22th, during lunch time in room 230 (Ms. DPR). This is your
first meeting and you need to be present because we are going to talk
about the requirements (duties and responsibilities), fundraisers and
activities for this semester. We hope to see you there.
The
FBLA chapter of DRHS is having their first
meeting on Wednesday, September 4th, in the Career Center. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to
travel, meet new people, and the chance to win upwards of a thousand dollars. FBLA is a wonderful community that spans the
nation with over 216 thousand members from California to Maine. Be sure to stop
by for the meeting to hear all about this highly successful organization.
