TODAY IS AN “A” DAY
PLEDGE
& MOMENT OF SILENCE
Hey Damonte Ranch… are you interested in taking the Armed Services Vocational
Aptitude Battery, ASVAB? The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple aptitude
test battery in the world, assesses a student’s ability to learn new skills and
is a predictor of success in training and education programs. The Career
Center will be hosting a test before the holiday break and would like those
students who are interested to stop by and sign up with Mrs. Aikin. This
test is for juniors and seniors.
Congratulations
the Damonte Mustangs that were
accepted into Washoe County School District’s Honor Choir: Cassandra Bovee, Anna Engel, Isaac
Hickox-Young, bass section leader (highest score in all of Washoe County for
bass singers), Brianna Hillaire, Helena Middleton, Joyce
Pasillas, Mike Lyndon Rosario, Grace Tibben-Lembke, and Molly
Willoughby.
Langston Hughes said, “I like to work, read,
learn and understand life.” So why not do all these things and attend the
Literary Club meeting in Ms. Servilican’s room, # 214, this Thursday at
lunch. Now that we have a name for the literary magazine, we’ll be
planning our agenda for the rest of the year and deciding on officers.
Come join us as we plan the literary magazine for Damonte Ranch High
School!
