Attention students: Got Moves? is
meeting again this Friday, September 6, in the dance studio at lunch.
Even if you didn’t make it to last week’s meeting, come this week and check it
out! Ms. Scully, a professional dance instructor, will begin teaching
various dance styles at this meeting. The dance studio is located in room
#136 in the ROTC hallway. Everyone is welcome!
Attention Seniors- Please return the Infinite Campus Parent FERPA consent form that
you received in your Government class to Ms. Aikin in the Career Center
ASAP. If you didn’t receive one please stop by the Career Center for a
copy.
The cheer team is looking for one additional student for the new flag team to participate
in the varsity football games. You will need to fill out the Athletic
Clearance Packet in the office. If you are interested please contact Ann

Do you like frozen yogurt? Good! Because the Damonte Juniors are having a fundraiser at yogurt beach TODAY, Wednesday, September 4th, at 2:30. Bring in a flyer or say that you are a Damonte student at the register. Please go and support our Junior class!

Attention all you
literature lovers out there! Damonte has not had a literary magazine for
several years, but this year, it’s being re-invented. If you would like
to help in its construction and showcase the poetry, short stories and other
types of writing as well as artwork of Damonte students, please join this
literary group on Monday, September 9, at lunch in Ms. Servilican’s room,
#214. Our goal is to publish a literary magazine by the end of the year
and to do this we need your help! If you love organizing and
constructing, this group is for you. All literary fanatics invited!

Attention all students who drive to school. If you park on campus you must have a new 2013-14 parking sticker. Any vehicles parked on campus that do not have a current parking permit displayed in the front window of their vehicle will be cited. Please stop by the bookkeeper to pay the $5 parking fee and bring the receipt to the Corral to get your sticker.
Hey Damonte…Can you create the most amazing and spectacular backpack designs? Backpack of the Century Design Challenge is offering a contest to see if you have the best ideas. Here’s your opportunity to be creative and win some money. Stop by the Career Center for the entry form/rules for the contest. The deadline to enter is September 29th.
The Fleet Reserve Association is sponsoring the “National Americanism Essay Contest”.
This year’s theme is “The Bill of Rights and Me”. Grand prize is
$5,000.00! Stop by the Career Center for contest rules. All essays
are due by December 1st.
Students! Friends! Amigos! Come to the meeting of the Hispanic Club. Let's
make plans for this year. This Club is about diversity, friendship and
exciting events. Grab your lunch and join us. The meeting of the Hispanic
Club is Thursday, September 5, at lunch, in Room 217.
If you are interested in
becoming an official member of the DRHS key club, or
in running for an office, please plan on attending our meeting Wed. 9/4.
Our election will be held this day and committees will be organized.

The Damonte Ranch Scholarship Application has been updated and the
link is now LIVE. The deadline this year is Friday,
December 6, 2013 @3:00 pm. It is very important that all three
parts of the application be completed in order for you application to be
considered. Please read over all the instructions on how to submit your
application. The application is located on my Weebly website http://drhscareercenter.weebly.com/ under more…scholarships. It will be the first scholarship
opportunity that you see. If you have any questions or concerns please

FBLA chapter of DRHS is having their first
meeting on Wednesday, September 4th, in room 145. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to
