Dominguez for placing 1st in
novice Original Oratory at the North Valleys Speech and Debate tournament this
weekend…hard work does pay off in the end.
The
Literary Club would like to congratulate freshman Erin Moyer as the winner of
our cover for Hoof Notes this
semester. She is the lucky winner of a $50.00 gift card to Meadowood Mall
and can pick up her prize from Ms. Servilican in room 214.
Congratulations Erin and thanks for a great cover that will highlight our
magazine in May!
The
Literary Club would also like to encourage all students to keep those poems,
short stories, non-fiction pieces and artwork coming! We are looking for many more
submissions. Thank you to those of you who’ve already submitted your
work. Remember, envelopes for submission are in all the English classes
and in the library. As Stephen King
said, “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things: read a lot and
write a lot.”
Haven't
signed up for the blood drive? There's still time! Sign up at lunch in the
counselor’s hallway or during IC in room 101. Spots fill up fast so sign up
today and save a life!
Support the
Damonte Ranch Cheer Team at
Lamppost Pizza on Wednesday, January 29 from 3 to 9pm. 25% of all regular
priced sales by dine in, take out or delivery will be donated back to the
Damonte Ranch Cheer Team. Thank you for your support!
FUTURE LEADERS OF DAMONTE: The deadline for Student Body
election packets is approaching faster than you can say "Slurpees and Cup
of Noodles!" Are you running for a student body position for the
2014-2015 school year? Remember, we have
the positions of Student Body President, Vice President, Secretary, and
Treasurer open! Applications are in the
main office. They are due today, January
27th! Hurry and get them in before it’s
too late!
