PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

Today is a “b” DaY

FALL BREAK-October 6-10, 2014

Key Club will be doing a mad minute during IC this Friday to support Project AK-47. Project AK 47 is an organization that rescues and protects children who have been kidnapped and forced into child soldiering. The IC that raises the most money through the mad minute will receive a donut party. Bring your change and extra cash on Friday to save a child’s life.

Environmental club has an announcement for all DRHS staff! Did you know that we can save energy over the break by unplugging the appliances were not using!  So help us out, unplug any nonessential appliances and equipment that you’re not using.  Thanks from the environmental club and have a fun and safe fall break.

Once again this week the Damonte Ranch Football Program would like to recognize our amazing staff for all they do in keeping our players “Academically Strong”.

For each home game this season a senior football player will select a teacher that has greatly influenced him in his academic career at DRHS.
The teacher will be recognized at the home football game as an honorary captain and join the players for the coin toss on Friday night as well as receive a Tailgate Package from Raising Cane’s

This week’s DRFP/ Raising Cane’s nominee is Mr. Martin of the Science Department.  He was selected by Sr. Football player Jaret Young. Here are a few words Jaret had to say about Mr. Martin.

“Mr. Martin is an intriguing man. When I had him for physics, he made the course a fun and interactive class that I enjoyed. He always made sure all of his students fully understood the material no matter what it took. Mr. Martin is the most unique teacher I've had at Damonte and always put a smile a smile on my face.” – Jaret Young
The Damonte Ranch Football Program and Raising Cane’s would like to sincerely thank Mr. Martin and the ENITRE STAFF for all they do!
