Today is aN “A” DaY
there will be no school on Friday, October 31, 2014, in
observance of Nevada Day.
THERE
WILL BE NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, due to District Professional Development
Day.
PAC travelers are selling
humongous muffins today after school in the main
hallway for $2! They're delicious - come support the PAC!
The Battle for the Cross Saw, the largest Football
Rivalry Trophy in America, is next Friday night when Your Damonte Ranch Varsity
Football team will face off against the Galena football team here at the
Damonte. You can buy your limited edition Cross Saw t-shirts today at
lunch at the table just outside the office for only $10. Net t-shirt
sales go to the new Cross Saw Scholarship fund. Get yours today at lunch
while supplies last.

Wednesday, November 3rd & 5th, accepting class ring
and graduation orders. They will be here
from lunch through the end of school, in the Counselor’s Hallway.

Mustangs!
The Drama Club is working with the
Nevada Food Bank to help those in need this holiday season. Help them out by
bringing canned goods to school this week and dropping them off in the barrels
located by the theater steps.
Trick or Treat Night is this Thursday from 5-8 pm. If you have a sibling, relative, or neighbor
between the ages of 1-10, be sure to bring them by DRHS for an evening of games
and trick or treating. Admission is
$2.00 per person or three cans of food. In addition, Key Club is also sponsoring a
Thanksgiving food drive beginning on Trick or Treat Night. The drive will run through the month of
November. Bring in a can of food to help
out our own Damonte families in need.
If you are still interested in
taking the ASVAB, due to the HSPE testing, there will
be a second opportunity to do so. Please see Mrs. Aikin please stop by the
Career Center to sign up and for additional details.
The
Freshmen Class will be selling Trick-or-Treat Candy Grams at lunch for $1. Buy one for yourself or send one to a friend.

Hispanic Club will be selling a variety of yummy
Latin foods. Check out their stands at lunch starting on Monday, October 27
through Thursday, October 30. They will be selling foods such a sugar skulls,
tamales, and many more traditional Hispanic foods starting at a one dollar.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BOYS/GIRLS BASKETBALL, SKI OR WRESTLING PLEASE
COME INTO THE MAIN OFFICE AND PICK UP AN ATHLETIC PACKET. IF YOU HAVE
PLAYED IN A FALL SPORT SIGN THE CLIPBOARD AT THE ATHLETIC COUNTER IN THE MAIN
OFFICE.
A Driver Education class will be offered at Damonte during winter break, January
5-8. This 30-hour class fulfills the classroom requirement for a driver's
license in Nevada if you are under 18. The cost is $94. Please call 829-9010
