PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
Today is aN “A” DAY
Are
you ready for Prom, Damonte?! The Harry Potter themed Prom will be held
on March 21st at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center from 8-11
PM. Tickets will be sold March 16th-March 20th in the Counselor’s
hallway. They are $45 for one, $80 for a couple, and $50 for one at the
door. Also, don’t forget to send your Promposals to @DRHS_Promposals2015
on Instagram for a chance to win two free tickets! We look forward to
seeing you there, Damonte!
Attention NHS Candidates 2014-2015
If you received a letter you are informed about a
mandatory Informative Meeting on March 17th during lunch time in
room 230 (Ms. De Pedro Robles’s room). In this meeting you will receive
information related to the duties and responsibilities of being a member of the
Damonte Ranch NHS. We hope to see you there!! GO NHS MUSTANGS!!!

Sophomores!
Today there is a meeting at lunch in the theater and there will be a PIZZA
RAFFLE! So be sure to show up and bring your friends!
Attention
Junior Class of 2016 Lifetouch will have a booth set up in the main hallway
near the career center during Lunch with information on your upcoming Senior
Pictures! They will also be looking for Models if you are interested or have
any questions please stop by.
The freshmen class is no
longer having a pancake breakfast every Monday before school, so make sure you
eat a healthy breakfast beforehand. Thank you.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Academy Information Day is Saturday, March 21st
at UNR’s Joe Crowley Student Union. Start time is 9 am – Noon. This is an
exciting opportunity to learn about our nation’s service academies.
Seniors did you attend Brown
Elementary School? Please stop by the Career Center to
pick up the scholarship application. Remember I have the applications for
Double Diamond and Pleasant Valley Elementary Schools as well.
Get hyped for the class meeting on March 16th during
freshman seminar! Please talk to your teachers about coming!!
On March 18th you will
have your Senior Class Panoramic photo
taken by LifeTouch. You should have already received an order form through your
Government class. Make sure to wear your senior class tee shirts! I will be
submitting an last minute order TODAY so if you don’t have a tee shirt as yet
and want one stop by the Career Center.
Thursday, March 19th
during IC we will have DRHS Alumni students here for our Annual Alumni Speakers Panel. This is part of
the “Life After High Series”. This event will take place during IC in the
Theatre.
Attention
Volleyball players: open gyms have begun in the big gym! They
will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm – 5pm beginning March 10 thru the
end of the school year. For more info check the volleyball website or see
Coach Wallace in the bookkeeper’s office.
Hoof
Notes is seeking writers to submit to the literary magazine. If you have a
piece and it fits into the category of poetry, prose or short story, dramatic
literature, nonfiction or like to draw or design things, submit your
work. Pick up a submission form from Ms. Servilican in room 214 or from
your English classroom. As it said in Lemony Snicket, “If we wait until
we’re ready, we’ll be waiting the rest of our lives.” Submit your work
now!

A Driver Education class will be offered at Damonte Ranch during spring break, April 6-9. This 30-hour class fulfills the classroom requirement for a driver's license in Nevada if you are under 18.
