PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
Today is an “a” DAY
Damonte, it’s that time
of year again…..PICTURE DAY!!
· Picture day will be held
on Tuesday August 25th and Wednesday the 26th during your
English class.
· Teachers you can take
your picture during your prep, lunch or after school till 3:15pm
· If you wish to purchase
pictures, there will be forms and flyers passed out on Monday during your 5th
period or the office.

IT'S STUCO! Class of 2019, have you ever thought about
joining student council? Serving your school? Or just having a good time with
good people? Make a change by becoming a class officer. Pick up a packet in
room 101 or in the office. Packets are due Friday August 21st to
Ms. Lombardi in Room 101. Feel free to email Student Body President Alex
Pollock with any questions at stuco_president@damonteranchhs.com,
she can also be found in room 101 during lunch and IC. Air August 14-17
Are
you looking for a place to win great scholarships, have fun, and do
awesome local and international service projects? Come to Key Club Monday August
24th at lunch in Ms. Bright's, room 218. We'll have some treats
at our first meeting and you'll learn more about this internationally
recognized extra-curricular. Hope to see you there! Please run starting on Friday 8/14—to Monday 8/24—
Today after school in the theatre Mr. Hearn will let you know about the two productions coming up
that both have open auditions for everyone in the entire school! Plan to
come from 2:40-4:10 and learn more about the shows and how to feel more
comfortable and prepared as an auditioner!

Seniors I now have the hard copy
application for the 2016 U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship.
There are two $5,000.00 scholarships
available along with an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. If you are
interested stop by the Career Center or checkout the website www.ussenateyouth.org.

need to take care of it. Please remember
to put all trash in the trash cans.

Students, please remember that the
hallways must be clear within 10 minutes of the
dismissal bell to lunch. If you need to visit your locker please do it in
a timely manner, then go and enjoy your lunch. Thanks!
There will be an informational meeting for
anyone interested in trying out for Monte the Mustang for football or
basketball seasons on Monday, August 17 at 2:45 in the Commons. Pick up a
tryout packet and get your questions answered.
The
first day of school, spirit week, homecoming, prom, assemblies, friends,
sporting events, dances, seniors, that cutie in math class …. these are just a
few reasons why you need to buy your Yearbook today!! You don’t want to forget
all the amazing memories this school year will bring!
Volleyball
Tryouts will be held on Saturday, August 15 from 9am to 3pm.
Registration will begin at 8:15 in the gym lobby. Anyone trying out MUST
be cleared through the Athletic department. Please see Ms. Daniels in the
front office for information on athletic clearance or Coach Wallace in the
Bookkeeping Office for information on tryouts.
Seniors! It is time to start applying for
scholarships!
If you are thinking about going college some of the “BIG” money scholarship due
dates are the end of August and are awarded as early as October. If you
need assistance, please see Ms. Jackson in room 124 or Mrs. Aiken in the career
center.
