Freshman!
Have you ever dreamed of being the President? President of your class
that is! Class of 2019 elections are right around the corner: don't miss your
chance to be President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, or a Representative. Pick up
your application in room 101 or the office. Packets are due this Friday August
21st. Email Student Body President Alex

any questions, she can also be found in room 101 during lunch and IC. Air August 18-19
There
will be a Literary Club meeting this Friday during lunch in Room 214, Ms.
Servilican’s room. Please come and help us as we look to introduce last
year’s literary magazine.
Girls
soccer tryouts this Tuesday at the soccer practice fields 3-4:30/5 pm.
Don't forget the first Drama Club meeting in the theatre at lunch today! Bring your food and we'll
see you there!
What
is the Coffee Shop? It’s the coolest, hippest place on campus every Thursday at
lunch in room 104. We talk about contemporary issues and share poetry and
music. It’s just cool. Optional attire, a black beret and
turtleneck. Don’t be square. See you there. Bring your brain. Bring a
poem. Bring your soul. Bring your own coffee.
here's been an event date change! The GLO
dance has been moved to later in the year. Save the date for December 11th so you can come glow at GLO!
Damonte, it’s that time of year again…..PICTURE DAY!!
· Picture day will be held
on Tuesday August 25th and Wednesday the 26th during your
English class.
· Teachers you can take
your picture during your prep, lunch or after school till 3:15pm
· If you wish to purchase
pictures, there will be forms and flyers in the office.
The
first Mystery Club meeting is no mystery. It will be held Thursday, August 20 at lunch
in Room 116. Bring your lunches and questions.
The
first Fanigame Club meeting will be Friday, August 21 at lunch in Room 116.
Remember, lunch has been shortened so we have to start as soon as possible.
Are
you looking for a place to win great scholarships, have fun, and do
awesome local and international service projects? Come to Key Club Monday August 24th at lunch in Ms. Bright's, room 218. We'll have some treats at
our first meeting and you'll learn more about this internationally recognized
extra-curricular. Hope to see you there! Please run

Seniors I now have the hard copy
application for the 2016 U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship.
There are two $5,000.00 scholarships
available along with an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. If you are
interested stop by the Career Center or checkout the website www.ussenateyouth.org.
DEADLINE: October 26, 2015
Students, please remember that the
hallways must be clear within 10 minutes of the
dismissal bell to lunch. If you need to visit your locker please do it in
a timely manner, then go and enjoy your lunch. Thanks!
The
first day of school, spirit week, homecoming, prom, assemblies, friends,
sporting events, dances, seniors, that cutie in math class …. these are just a
few reasons why you need to buy your Yearbook today!! You don’t want to forget
all the amazing memories this school year will bring!
Seniors! It is time to start applying for scholarships! If you are
thinking about going college some of the “BIG” money scholarship due dates are
the end of August and are awarded as early as October. If you need
assistance, please see Ms. Jackson in room 124 or Mrs. Aiken in the career
center.
