who's ready to GLO?? On Friday, August
19th we will have our first dance of the year. GLO is an informal neon black light dance so
wear white and neon, but remember to stay in school dress code.
Tickets
will be on sale in the counselor’s hall at lunch for $12 pre-sold and $15 at
the door.
To
bring someone from another school, a guest pass must be filled out and turned
in by Friday August 19th. These forms
can be found in the corral.

pICTURE DAY IS ALMOST HERE! School Pictures will be taken during English classes
on Monday, August 15 & Tuesday, August 16.
If you are interested in joining speech and debate, stop into the career center Wednesday during lunch and pick up a flyer. Then come to our meeting after school on Thursday for more in depth information. If you can't come in at lunch on Wednesday or to the meeting after school on Thursday, email us at damontedebate@gmail.com.

Welcome
back to school, Damonte! The math dept is looking for more math peer tutors
periods 2, 3, 4, and IC. If you have an elective class those periods that
you don’t need, or if you don’t use your IC, and you are strong in math, then
please see Mrs. Ault in 122 for information about being a Math Peer
Tutor. Thanks so much!
Seniors
that have off campus will need to provide a copy of their schedule to
present to staff when leaving campus until IDs are provided on picture day,
August 15th & 16th. Once IDs have been issued, Seniors
with Off Campus will need to get a sticker from Mrs. Aikin in the career
center.

Girls signed up go Girls golf:
Tryouts
will be held Next Monday, August 15th at wolf run golf club at
3:30pm after school. You must be cleared with Ms. Daniels in the front
office by this Friday to try out. If you have any questions, concerns, or
are not signed up but would like to try out, please see Mr. Guzman in room 119

Career Center so as to not be left out of the loop on scholarship information.

you need Damonte Gear? Are you thirsty? Are you Hungry? Well, your student store
is open for business and ready to serve you! The managers this year are Miranda
Slack and Esteban Garcia. We are raising funds for scholarships. When you shop
at the store, you know every dollar you spend goes back to support student
programs. So drop on in, have a drink, buy some gear for yourself or your
parents and eat some food. We are always changing our inventory too. So come in
and check out what is new. Hours are morning 7:30 to 8 AM and during lunch. See
you in the student store!
