Damonte, it’s that time of year again! Get ready to get decked out in pink
and blue for the biggest rivalry in history! This week is our 2014 Greek
Olympics Battle of the Sexes Spirit Week and Assembly! Today was Medal Monday,
so hope you dressed in gold, silver and bronze because you might just win a
medal for style! Tuesday, come to school as an athlete or spectator. Attire
such as sports uniforms, fanny packs and visors are encouraged. Wednesday is
Flag Day so represent your favorite country by wearing the colors of their
flag. Thursday is Winter vs. Summer Olympics. Whether you’re shredding some
fresh powder or playing some beach volleyball, dress for your favorite season.
Friday is Pink vs. Blue so suit up in your color and get ready for the Battle
of the Sexes Assembly.
Don’t
forget, Damonte! Dress code applies and you’ll need to purchase a hat
wristband from the corral for a $1.
Attention DRHS, anyone interested in being on the
Swim team
there is a meeting in room 104 on Tuesday, Feb. 11th at lunch.
All
boys that are interested in playing golf this spring there will be an
informative meeting with Coach Magrum in room 107 on Tuesday, February 11th
at lunch. If you can’t attend the meeting please go to room 107 to get
information for Boys Golf.

amigos: Valentine’s Day is coming up and Hispanic Club will be selling Valentine’s
grams at lunch, through Thursday, February 13th. You can reach
us in front of the Career Center to buy one, and give someone a greeting for
this day with a nice Valentine gram. Please provide the fifth period room
number for delivery. Deliveries will be made on Friday, February 14th
at 5*
Track
& Field Pre-Season Workouts are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,
from 3 pm-4:30 pm. Meet at the Track.

Ever
thought about auditioning for the musical at Damonte Ranch, but were unsure about
what’s expected?! Then come check out the Pre-Audition Workshops after
school in the theatre on February 11th! Pal Joey is a
gritty musical comedy from the late 1930’s, with some similarities to popular
musicals like Guys and Dolls, Cabaret, and Chicago! You
won’t want to miss out! Check out the bulletin board outside the theatre
for a list of characters, songs, and audition information. Still have

ATTENTION SENIORS: Did you attend Pleasant Valley Elementary
school? The Career Center now has the application for the Pleasant Valley
Elementary school scholarship. Deadline is March 24th. Also, if your parent(s) are teachers for the
WCSD and belong to Washoe Educators Association (WEA) there are four
scholarships opportunities for you. Please stop in the Career Center and
see Mrs. Aikin.
Seniors...Don't miss out on a Fun-Filled
Grad Trip to Magic Mountain in Valencia,
California! The trip includes chartered bus transportation, admission
into the park, breakfast, lunch and dinner, dancing to a DJ and much, much
more! The cost of the trip is
