PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
The
International Club will be meeting on Monday, February the 9th
during lunch time in room 234. New
members are always welcome. Come travel
with us & explore the wonders of the world!
Need
a date? Make a date with a book! The library is having a “blind
date with a book” event. All you have to do is go to the library, choose
a book from the display (trust us, they are all super highly rated books so the
odds are good that you’ll like what you choose), read the book, and when you
turn it in fill out the very short questionnaire. Your questionnaire is
your entry ticket for a raffle prize of various cool items including an Amazon
gift card. “Blind Date With a Book” starts now and ends March 11th.
The drawing will be March 15 just before Spring Break. Trust us. . . we
wouldn’t introduce you to “someone” we didn’t already know was great.
Take a chance and hurry in to get your read on!
TODAY IS A “B”
DAY
Next week is spirit week for Battle of the Sexes! Show
your school spirit by dressing up every day.
There
will be no school on Monday.
For
Timeless Tuesday, do your hair up like you're from the 50's. Girls, wear high
ponytails, and guys, slick your hair back. Buy a wristband from the corral for
a dollar and wear a hat.
Wednesday
is Sockhop Day! Sport some crazy socks with a pair of Chuck Taylors and your
jeans rolled up.
On
Throwback Thursday, boys can show off their T-Bird style with leather jackets
and jeans, and girls can dress up in fluffy skirts. Or, you can wear black and
white like a character in a vintage movie!
Finally,
on Friday, the day we've all been waiting for... the assembly! Boys, go crazy
in blue as you take on the reigning champions, the girls, who will be decked
out in pink! (Run on Monday, February
8-Friday, February 12th)
Over spring break, TMCC is offering classes in Driver’s Ed, archery, improv acting, fencing, creative
writing, rock climbing, volleyball, and more. Visit camps.tmcc.edu or pick up a flyer in the office for more
info.
The
Student Store is looking for Rose Promoters . . . if you think you
would be good at selling roses, come and see Michael or Lizzy in the student
store at lunch!
Looking
for a gift for that special someone? A rose for mom? The Student Store is back open with roses and
a whole new stock of tasty food for your enjoyment. We have even printed out a
card for you to write a special message. Please stop by and see what we have to
offer. Thank you!
Attention
Students:
Valentine’s Day is coming up and Hispanic Club will be selling Valentine Grams
at lunch these two weeks. You can reach us in front of the Career Center to buy
one, and give someone a greeting for this day with a nice Valentine gram.
Please provide the fifth period room number for delivery. Deliveries will be
made on Friday, the 12th at 5*.
Attention
