year, the literary magazine, Hoof Notes, is mixing it up! Instead of using the envelopes, head to hoofnotedrhs.weebly.com to submit your pieces. There will still be a few envelopes scattered
around the school, it that fits your needs better. Submit before it's too late, and you could win
some great prizes. (Run through 2/5/16)
Students
attention!
Hoof Notes is looking for a graphically designed cover this year. If you
are interested in submitting a cover for our magazine, please make sure it’s
graphically designed, has the title Hoof Notes on it and in some way represents
out school and writing. Be creative and send your submission through our
website at hoofnotedrhs.weebly.com. All you graphic designers
get on it. There’s a $100.00 gift card for the winner! All
submissions are due by March 18th! (Run
through 2/5/16)

And the new Dancing with the staff dance champions are...Mr.
Steptoe and Mitch Pisane! These two
musicians won your hearts and votes last week to become the new dance champions
of DRHS. Their Star Wars Jedi dance, choreographed by Dance team coach
Arthur Walker, was an incredible performance that allowed them to take take
home the trophy. Congratulations and may the force be with you!
Are you looking for a part-time, paying
job right here at school? The cafeteria is hiring students who are
reliable, can think on their feet and capable of working in a fast-paced

Are
you looking for an apprenticeship in an emerging Nevada Industry? Well, TMCC has the
right program for you. Emerging industries are looking for skilled construction
workers. The pre-apprenticeship program is just four weeks and can help place
you in a high-paying apprenticeship. For more information, see Mr. Plaskon in

Do
you want to be your own boss? The Nevada Chamber of Commerce is looking for
students who want help starting their own business. Now is the time to apply.

if you haven’t filled out your “Senior Quote” and “Senior Standout” forms for
the yearbook yet, you can pick them up at the office or in room 130. Pleased turn them into Ms. Chachas in room
130. They are due Friday February 23rd.

The Alliance
with the Washoe County Medical Society
(AWCMS) will be holding its well-known annual Physicians’ Spouses’ (“Doctors’
Wives”) Rummage Sale on February 27, 2016, at the Reno Livestock Event Center.
Is seeking student volunteers from Damonte Ranch High School to participate in
our efforts to help the less fortunate in our community. Our workweek begins on
Monday, February 22, through Friday, February 26, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Sale day on Saturday, February 27, begins at 7:15 am and lasts until 4:30 pm. A
