PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
TODAY IS AN “A”
DAY
Seniors,
the deadline is fast approaching…. The last day you can submit a Senior Tribute
ad in the Yearbook is Tuesday February 23rd. Make sure to tell your family and friends to
go to yearbookforever.com and submit their ad, just for you. That’s yearbookforever.com to submit your
Senior Tribute ad due February 23rd.
Congratulations to PAC Drama students who, over the
weekend, racked up high scores as Damonte Ranch hosted the Northern Nevada
Regional Theatre Festival! An unprecedented 93% of the performances
have qualified to go to the State Thespian Conference next month, AND
DRHS can boast the third largest school group of entries in regionals
across the entire state this year! Check out the bulletin board in
the hallway to see the list of your talented, hardworking friends who
deserve a standing ovation! (Run Tuesday
and Wednesday)
Need
a date? Make a date with a book! The library is having a “blind
date with a book” event. All you have to do is go to the library, choose
a book from the display (trust us, they are all super highly rated books so the
odds are good that you’ll like what you choose), read the book, and when you
turn it in fill out the very short questionnaire. Your questionnaire is
your entry ticket for a raffle prize of various cool items including an Amazon
gift card. “Blind Date With a Book” starts now and ends March 11th.
The drawing will be March 15 just before Spring Break. Trust us. . . we
wouldn’t introduce you to “someone” we didn’t already know was great.
Take a chance and hurry in to get your read on!
Next week is spirit week for Battle of the Sexes! Show your school spirit by dressing up every day.
There will be no school on Monday.
For Timeless Tuesday, do your hair up like you're from
the 50's. Girls, wear high ponytails, and guys, slick your hair back. Buy a
wristband from the corral for a dollar and wear a hat.
Wednesday is Sockhop Day! Sport some crazy socks with a
pair of Chuck Taylors and your jeans rolled up.
On Throwback Thursday, boys can show off their T-Bird
style with leather jackets and jeans, and girls can dress up in fluffy skirts.
Or, you can wear black and white like a character in a vintage movie!
Finally, on Friday, the day we've
all been waiting for... the assembly! Boys, go crazy in blue as you take on the
reigning champions, the girls, who will be decked out in pink! (Run on Monday, February 8-Friday,
February 12th)
Over spring break, TMCC is offering classes in Driver’s Ed, archery, improv acting, fencing, creative
writing, rock climbing, volleyball, and more. Visit camps.tmcc.edu or pick up a flyer in the office for more info.
