PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

It's finally here:  the staff play!!  Come join us in the theatre Tuesday night at 7:00 for a short comedy from the Beginning Drama class, "How to Succeed in High School Without Really Trying," followed by a hilarious staff play about relationship break ups, "It's not You, It's Me."  Tickets are $7 at the door and all proceeds benefit scholarships for seniors!  At the end of the evening, you'll see which teacher gets a pie in the face!!

If you are interested in dance team or PAC dance, there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 24 at lunch in the dance studio.  See you there!  (May 22, 23 & 24)

The DRHS Lunch choir, our own a cappella choir, is performing concerts on Friday, May 26, at 3 pm and 7 pm.  It will be in our theatre and is FREE, although donations will be accepted.  Come hear our amazing a cappella group!

Have you ever wanted to pie a teacher in the face?  Well now's your chance.  Drama club is holding a fundraiser in the counselor’s hallway every day this week, at lunch, giving you the opportunity to give money towards the teacher you want to see get pied in the face.  The teacher with the most amount of money in their jar at the end of the week will be pied in the face, at the end of the Staff Play on Tuesday, May 23rd at 7 pm in the Theatre.  This will be your last chance to send Mrs. Hausauer off with a pie or your first chance to welcome Mr. Bell as our new principal with a pie to the face.

The speech and debate team is holding a fundraiser at Lamppost pizza on Monday the 22nd.  Come in any time after school - eat-in, take out, or delivery - and mention speech and debate to help send Ryan Regier and Jennifer Whitbeck to the national tournament in June.  Thank you for your support, good luck at nationals!

Attention all girls interested in playing golf next year.  There will be a meeting in room 119 on Friday May 26th for you to sign up for try outs and learn more information for next season.  If you have any question please see Mr. Guzman in 119 or Mr. Magrum in room 107.  See you at the meeting.

Hello Mustangs,

As the weather begins to get warmer, it is imperative that students continue to follow the Washoe County School District (WSCD) dress code.  The WCSD dress code policy may be found in the student planner, in the display in front of Student Services, and on our DRHS website.

So be sure shorts and dresses are at least mid-length (roughly to the bottom of your fingertips when you stand up straight), and keep those hats and hoodies off while on campus, etc.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Student Services.

The staff at Damonte Ranch is committed to working with you to ensure all students have a successful spring semester in the classroom, and we can do so by limiting dress code violation distractions.

Thank you for your commitment to your education.  Go mustangs!

Hi everyone!  As we get to the end of the school year, we are no longer checking out Library books or renewing them.  If you’re in need of something to read, though, we have some free books and you are welcome to them!

Please, please make sure all your LIBRARY books are turned in by May 30th.  Only Library books are due May 30th, not textbooks.  After that date, books are marked lost and parents get bills.  Ain’t nobody got time for that!  Thanks so much!

Hundreds of days, thousands of photos, millions of memories.  Don’t miss out! Purchase your 2016-2017 yearbook now!

They are selling out fast and prices increase again soon so don’t wait.  You can purchase by going to yearbookforever.com or going to the bookkeepers office to pay.

Please contact Ms.Meyer at haley.meyer@washoeschools.net with any questions.

Willa Cather once said, “Most of the basic material a writer works with is acquired before the age of fifteen.”  That means writers, that you have a lot to work with so consider submitting your work to the Hoof Notes literary magazine.  The deadline is fast approaching…it’s about two weeks away!  Submit work to your English classroom teacher, to Ms. Servilican in room 214.  We are still looking for some excellent work from students and teachers alike.  Hear that teachers, you are welcome to submit something too!

The final exam schedule has been updated. Final exams will be Wednesday June 7th, Thursday June 8th and Friday June 9th
