PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

Dance Team tryouts are coming!!  This Friday, June 2, 3:30-5:30 and Monday, June 5, 3:30-5:30.  Please see Ms. Daniels for athletic clearance information.  Wear comfortable clothes and see you on Friday!  Any questions, see Coach Roybal.  (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Mon)

Looking for a fun, fast-paced afternoon?!  Come see #ScriptsOnFire, presented by the upper level drama class, the only show where YOU choose the order of the thirty original plays to be performed in sixty minutes!  At the door, you'll roll a die to determine your ticket price, so bring $6--and you might get lucky and pay only a buck!  This show is today only, May 31st, at 2:45!  Hey--if we sell out, we order out pizza, so bring your friends!

Library books are due right now!  Dash to the Library ASAP to get your books turned in!  (Tuesday & Wednesday)

On Saturday, May 13th, 29 DRHS students competed in the DRHS Mathematics Challenge.  These students won a total of $10,000 in scholarship money altogether, and the following students were the top scoring students:

Ryan Regier, who won a $2000 scholarship

Larsen McFadden, who won a $1000 scholarship,

and Maggie Leung, who also won a $1000 scholarship

Congratulations to every student who participated in this challenge!

(Run May 30 & 31)

Thank you to all of you who have submitted work to Hoof Notes.  We are no longer accepting submissions!  Please look for our magazine to come out in the fall with the winners being announced at that time.  If you have any questions or concerns, please see Ms. Servilican in room 214.

Sophomores, are you enrolled in AP Language and Composition next year?  Drop by the Career Center Wednesday, May 31, or Thursday, June 1, after school for course details and assignments.

We are very excited to notify you that Yearbooks have arrived!  We will be passing out purchased books this week. If you haven’t yet purchased a yearbook be sure to do so before June 2nd to make sure you get one before they sell out and prices increase. Do so today at yearbookforever.com or through the bookkeeper’s office!

Hello Mustangs,

As the weather begins to get warmer, it is imperative that students continue to follow the Washoe County School District (WSCD) dress code.  The WCSD dress code policy may be found in the student planner, in the display in front of Student Services, and on our DRHS website.

So be sure shorts and dresses are at least mid-length (roughly to the bottom of your fingertips when you stand up straight), and keep those hats and hoodies off while on campus, etc.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Student Services.

The staff at Damonte Ranch is committed to working with you to ensure all students have a successful spring semester in the classroom, and we can do so by limiting dress code violation distractions.

Thank you for your commitment to your education.  Go mustangs!
