PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE
TODAY IS A “B” DAY
There will be a swim team meeting today,
Monday, January 29th, at lunch time in room 108.

the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Dancing with The Staff is this
Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. in the theater. Come out and see your favorite
teachers dance the night away with their student partners to see who will be
the next dance champion of DRHS. You’ll see Mr. Hearn doing his best tap
steps, Mrs. Afuha’amango dancing cute, Ms. Ward boogieing on down, and just wait
until you see Mr. Schreiner!!! That’s just a few teachers you’ll be able
to vote for. Tickets are $8 per seat and
doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Get there early for your place in line and
don’t miss out on this exciting event!! GO MUSTANGS!

on everyone!
Our Read and Grow Rich event in the Library is going strong! More books
are added every day, so keep on keeping on. You can read and review as
many as you want up until March 14th to be entered into the Amazon
$50 gift card drawing! We may even add an additional $50 gift card, so

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
This
quarter’s PBIS focus is a No Tardies Challenge. Students with No Tardies
between January 22nd and March 9th will be rewarded with
a Popcorn Party with the Principal. Please see the fliers in the hallway
for more details.
Dress Code
Please
remember hats are not to be worn in the school building. Dress code helps
students prepare for the real world of work, and provides a means to teach
students the importance of a respectable appearance that can positively impact
a student’s self-respect and self-esteem. The dress code policy can be
found in the DRHS student planner as well as on the DRHS and WCSD websites.

DRHS Technology Policy
The
Washoe County School District is proud to be a 21st Century district
and promotes the responsible and thoughtful use of personal electronic devices
to support student achievement.
Keep
in mind that students may possess or use electronic devices on the DRHS campus
provided that it is not a disruption to the education process or a disturbance
of school.
Inside
the classroom or instructional process, school buildings and during the school
day, electronic devices shall be in the “off” position unless the devices are being
used for instructional purposes. Teachers and administrators reserve the
right to confiscate a student’s electronic device if it is interfering with
curriculum/instruction or student/staff confidentiality.
It
is unlawful for a person to engage in any kind of surreptitious electronic
surveillance on any public school property without the knowledge of the person
being observed.
Electronic
devices are prohibited in classrooms during assessments, semester exams or
other testing situations.
Schools
are not responsible for lost or stolen personal technology devices.

of February. Submission folders are in
the theater, in the library, or any English class. Or come by Ms. Hellen’s room, Room 116.
