We
challenge you to read a book. Just one to be entered into a drawing for a
$50 amazon gift card. So easy AND fun!
First,
go to the library, find a librarian, and choose a book from the choices they
have set aside. Don’t worry, all the books are amazing and highly rated.
Second,
read it. Don’t say you’re not a reader – reading will change your life!
Lastly,
rank and write a brief review in Destiny. Again, don’t worry! Super
easy! The librarians will help you out and get your entry for the
drawing.
Get
going! The more you read the more entries you have! The drawing will be
March 14th so you have lots of good reading time!
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
This
quarter’s PBIS focus is a No Tardies Challenge. Students with No Tardies
between January 22nd and March 9th will be rewarded with
a Popcorn Party with the Principal. Please see the fliers in the hallway
for more details.
Dress Code
Please
remember hats are not to be worn in the school building. Dress code helps
students prepare for the real world of work, and provides a means to teach
students the importance of a respectable appearance that can positively impact
a student’s self-respect and self-esteem. The dress code policy can be
found in the DRHS student planner as well as on the DRHS and WCSD websites.
Vaping
The Corral wants to remind students that smoking a vape device on campus or within sight of school is a violation and the progressive discipline plan applies.
